Chloë Grace Moretz Announces She’s Married After Coming Out
Chloë Grace Moretz has married her longtime partner in a private Labor Day weekend ceremony.
Moretz, who began her acting career as a child with roles in The Amityville Horror and Desperate Housewives, rose to fame with her breakout performance as Hit-Girl in 2010’s Kick-A**.
She has since established herself as a versatile actress with roles in films including The Miseducation of Cameron Post, where she portrayed a gay teenager sent to conversion therapy.
The couple, who have been together for seven years, confirmed their marriage to Vogue, sharing glimpses of their stunning custom Louis Vuitton wedding looks designed by Nicolas Ghesquière.
Moretz took to Instagram to showcase their ethereal wedding attire, posting photos of herself in a baby blue gown.
The actress has now officially said ‘I do.’

The 27-year-old actress married her partner, model Kate Harrison, in an intimate ceremony over the weekend, marking a significant milestone just months after publicly coming out as gay.
Her decision to come out publicly came after years of advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights.
In a 2018 interview with The Independent, while promoting The Miseducation of Cameron Post, Moretz emphasized this saying: “Don’t assume people’s s**ualities. And don’t project your own issues onto them. Why don’t we let people be who they wanna be?”
Moretz and Harrison’s relationship began in 2018 when they were first photographed together in Malibu, California.
However, the couple largely kept their romance private, with Moretz only publicly confirming her s**uality in November 2024 through a powerful Instagram post encouraging Americans to vote in the presidential election.
“I believe in the need for legal protections that protects the LGBTQ+ community as a gay woman,” Moretz wrote at the time, marking her first public acknowledgment of her s**ual orientation after years of speculation.
The engagement became official on New Year’s Day 2025, when Moretz posted a photo of herself and Harrison wearing matching diamond rings with the caption: “Happiest New Year, so thankful for what this year has brought. The people, the places, our families, our health, our love.”
The wedding celebration was a true reflection of the couple’s personalities and shared interests.
Moretz opted for an ‘old Hollywood-inspired’ baby blue wedding dress with ruffle detailing and spaghetti straps, while Harrison chose a strapless fitted white gown with a sweetheart neckline and birdcage veil.
“It looks like ice cream or something,” Moretz playfully described her unconventional color choice per E! Online.
“Like a confection! It just feels like me. I never really envisioned a wedding dress in my mind growing up, so when we started talking about what that would look like, I knew I would do something non-traditional.”
The couple also designed special after-party looks. Moretz wore a custom white jacket with cut-outs and matching trousers, topped with a cowboy hat, while Harrison donned a bodice and trousers with a sheer overlay.
The two-day celebration incorporated activities that reflect the couple’s shared interests.
“A big part of the wedding is about sharing things that Kate and I love with everyone that’s going to be there,” Moretz explained. “So there’s fishing, horseback riding, and poker. Kate made a custom poker mat herself, so we’re going to kind of be leaning into it. Our second day is going to be line dancing and everything.”
“We’ve been together for almost seven years and making this promise to each other in a new way, and exchanging these vows,” she told Vogue. “I think it’s important to just stay every day choosing each other.”
