Connor Murphy’s Haunting Final Post Before Death As Police Reveal More Devastating Details
An influencer has tragically died in Thailand, as authorities reveal more tragic details around his death.
Connor Murphy built an impressive following on social media, initially posting fitness content, before moving into the ‘looksmaxxing’ space.
Looksmaxxing is a growing social media trend, whereby people – mostly men – try and maximize their physical attractiveness.
Murphy, 32, would regularly share looksmaxxing content with his nearly 400,000 followers on Instagram, such as revealing the exercises he was doing to intentionally grow his jaw.
Connor Murphy’s cause of death revealed
Murphy, who hails from the US but had been living in Thailand at the time of his death, is reported to have died by drowning.
According to The Week, ThaiRath Police, staff from Ramathibodi Chakri Naruebodindra Hospital, and Por Teck Tung Foundation rescue volunteers confirmed they had responded to reports that a man from overseas had entered a lake inside a luxury residential village in Samut Prakan Province.
The report says emergency services were called at around 3pm local time on July 7, 2026.
Police Lieutenant Weerapong Rupsuay, deputy investigator at Bang Phli Police Station, confirmed his station had received a report of a foreign man acting erratically.
They were later informed the man had jumped into the lake and his body was found by divers around 20 meters from the edge of the pond.
Concerns raised over Connor Murphy’s welfare
In the last few years, a growing number of followers began to raise their concerns over Murphy’s welfare, after he switched up his content from being primarily fitness focused, to looksmaxxing.
Since 2020, Murphy also started posting about spirituality, meditation and personal awakening experiences, with claims suggesting he was also into using psychedelic drugs, though this has not been confirmed.
Videos circulating on social media have suggested Murphy had been acting erratically in the moments before he jumped into the village lake.
Eyewitnesses said he began swimming quickly until he became exhausted and could no longer keep going, by which time he was in water more than 10 meters deep.
Onlookers reportedly called emergency services for help as the influencer disappeared beneath the water. Divers spent 30 minutes searching for his body.
A security guard working in the luxury village described strange behavior from Murphy in the moments leading up to his death.
He claims the 32-year-old left the area and came back in a hired car, but when he tried to pay the driver, the driver refused because of his ‘strange behavior’.
The man is then said to have attempted to knock on a passerby’s car, asking to be let in, but when the security guard shouted to the driver not to let him in, he shouted and started rolling around on the road.
Meanwhile, the homeowner Murphy was renting his house from has claimed the whole home has been covered in paint.
She reportedly told ThaiRath that she had been careful in choosing who she rented her home to, so was horrified when she discovered the condition it had been left in.
Officers investigating Murphy’s death are said to have found two used syringes in the driver’s seat of his car and some unidentified white pills in the bag he was wearing that day.
Connor Murphy’s haunting final post
Just four days before he died, Murphy posted a strange video on Instagram showing him wearing a rose covered suit, orange glasses and multicolored bucket hat while holding a framed photo Leo Rex, a fellow American influencer known for his biohacking YouTube channel Leo and Longevity.
In January 2023, Leo was found dead in his apartment in Pattaya, Thailand, at the age of just 34.
The details around his death remain somewhat unknown, however an autopsy ruled that his death was related to ‘acute substance toxicity, a sudden medical emergency, or an accidental overdose stemming from his experimental biohacking practices’.
Murphy’s bizarre video shows him pretending to cry and manically laughing, as well as staring deadpan down the camera, alongside the caption: “Leo and Longevity. Tragically, comically ironic.”
At the end of the video, he picks up a hammer and waves it at the camera.
People have been left disturbed by the timing of the video and the similarities between the two men having both died at a young age in Thailand.
