Dwayne Johnson Makes Heartbreaking Confession And Leaves Fans Devastated
Dwayne Johnson has made a heartbreaking confession, and it’s left fans devastated.
Johnson, also known as ‘The Rock,’ has had a remarkable career as a professional wrestler turned actor.
In professional wrestling, he achieved legendary status with an illustrious WWE career that spanned multiple championships and countless memorable moments.
Johnson captured the WWE world championship 10 times, with his first victory coming at Survivor Series on November 15, 1998. He also held the Intercontinental championship twice and the tag team championship five times, as per ESPN.
He won the Royal Rumble in 2000, further solidifying his place among wrestling’s elite.
Known by numerous nicknames, including The People’s Champion, The Great One, The Brahma Bull, and The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment, Johnson has captivated audiences with his signature moves.

A Hollywood powerhouse
Following his wrestling success, Johnson seamlessly transitioned into acting, building one of the most impressive filmographies in modern cinema.
He’s starred in several blockbuster movies, including Black Adam, Fast & Furious, and Jumanji.
Johnson’s recent work includes starring in The Smashing Machine, a biographical movie about wrestling and MMA icon Mark Kerr in 2025.
And beyond entertainment, he has demonstrated his commitment to giving back.
He founded the Dwayne Johnson Rock Foundation charity in 2006 and has released various Under Armour projects under the name ‘Project Rock.’
He also co-wrote an autobiography titled ‘The Rock Says…’ in 2000, which debuted at number one on the New York Times Best Seller list.
Fans share their support
The 53-year-old star has built a devoted following over his decades in the public eye, with fans consistently praising not just his professional accomplishments but his authenticity and willingness to connect on a personal level.
Social media has been flooded with messages of support following his recent candid revelations.
One fan said: “Man I’m glad they talked about this. The Rock is one of my biggest inspirations to improve myself.”
Another added: “Thank you for sharing. It is important to hear from a male who has walked this journey to show it can be done and can be managed after.”
“Thanks for being so raw, exposed and empathetic,” commented a third.

Dwayne Johnson’s personal battle
Muscle-bound Johnson is now demonstrating his strength in a different way, by opening up about his experiences with depression.
In a recent interview on the podcast The Pivot, the former WWE wrestler urged other men to be honest about their own mental health struggles.
Johnson revealed that his battles with mental health began years ago, but at the time, he lacked the vocabulary to express his feelings.
Reflecting on his early years, he shared: “I left school, but the interesting thing at the time is, I didn’t know what mental health was.
“I didn’t know what depression was. I just knew I didn’t want to be there.”
The actor spoke about his personal journey, highlighting his struggle with depression following the end of his college football career, and his divorce from his first wife, Dany Garcia, in 2008.

During this period, he was able to identify his depression and leaned on his friends for support.
He said: “I knew what it was at that time and luckily I had some friends that I could lean on and say, ‘Hey I’m feeling a little wobbly now. I got a little struggle happening.'”
He noted that being aware of his ‘mental pain’ and talking to someone about it has made all the difference.
“I’ve worked hard over the years to gain the emotional tools to work through any mental pain that may come to test me,” he continued.
“As men, we didn’t talk about it. We just kept our heads down and worked through it. Not healthy, but it’s all we knew.”
Johnson also stressed the significance of breaking this pattern and engaging in open conversations about mental health.
Healthcare crisis
Johnson’s openness comes at a crucial time, as mental health issues among men remain a significant concern.
Research shows that 77% of men have suffered with symptoms of common mental health conditions such as anxiety, stress or depression, per Priory Group.
Yet despite the prevalence of these struggles, many men remain silent.

A striking 40% of men have never spoken to anyone about their mental health. Of those who stay silent, 29% say they are ‘too embarrassed’ to speak about it, while 20% cite a ‘negative stigma” around the issue.
The biggest causes of mental health issues in men’s lives are work (32%), their finances (31%) and their health (23%). Perhaps most alarmingly, 40% of men said it would take thoughts of s**cide or self-harm to compel them to get professional help.
One in eight men report experiencing symptoms of mental health problems, compared to one in five women, though experts believe men may be underreporting due to stigma.
Dr. Natasha Bijlani, Consultant Psychiatrist at Priory Hospital Roehampton, explained: “Traditionally, men have been less likely to seek support for mental health issues. This is probably for a number of reasons, including stigma and the traditional ‘strong male’ stereotype still prevalent in our society – the idea that expressing emotion is a sign of weakness.”
According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), an estimated 21 million adults in the United States experienced a ‘major depressive episode’ in 2020.
Advocates like Johnson, who have personally struggled with discussing mental health, are now encouraging other men to reach out for help.
If you or someone you know is experiencing symptoms of depression or other mental health issues, reaching out to a trusted friend, family member, or healthcare professional can be the first step toward recovery.
