Eminem’s Ex-Wife Kim Rushed To Hospital As Devastating Details Emerge
Eminem’s ex-wife Kim Scott has been rushed to hospital just months after she was arrested for a DUI.
According to reports, the 51-year-old was wheeled out of her home on a gurney while unconscious, before being taken to hospital in an ambulance.
A turbulent public relationship
Eminem and Scott have arguably had one of the most turbulent relationships of any celebrity couple, first meeting as teenagers and going on to marry not once, but twice.
They were around 15 years old when they first met in Michigan, when Scott and her twin sister Dawn escaped an abusive home and began staying with the rapper, real name Marshall Mathers, and his mom.
Mathers and Scott dated on and off for seven years prior to the birth of their daughter, Hallie Jade, who was born on Christmas day in 1995.
They struggled financially, with Eminem often rapping about the hardships of working low paying jobs in an attempt to support his family.
Shortly after the rapper’s career started to take off, following The Slim Shady LP, he and Scott tied the knot in 1999, but it wasn’t long before fame began to put pressure on their relationship.
Over the next few years, Eminem received a lot of criticism for rapping about having violent fantasies towards his wife, in songs such as 97 Bonnie & Clyde and Kim.
Shortly afterwards, Scott was spotted kissing another man outside a nightclub, which led to Eminem being charged with assault.
In 2001, they divorced, but they remained a constant in each other’s lives through their daughter Hallie and over the next few years they reconciled their relationship and broke up numerous times.
During this time, Scott also began to struggle with her substance abuse due to poor mental health, while Eminem also battled an addiction to prescription medication.
In 2006, they finally decided to make their relationship work for good and married once again, but three months later, the rapper filed for divorce and their romantic partnership was done.
Despite frequently expressing resentment towards Scott through his music, Eminem later showed regret, particularly in his 2017 track Bad Husband, in which he apologized to his ex-wife and acknowledges his own contribution to the breakdown of their marriage.
The pair remain amicable and have come together on several occasions, including for their daughter Hallie’s wedding.
Kim Scott’s recent arrest
While Scott has kept a relative low profile over the years, she made headlines earlier this year when she was arrested for a DUI in May.
The 51-year-old is said to have hit a parked car with no injuries reported at the time.
According to the police report, Scott was seen stumbling around and smelling of alcohol, admitting to officers that she had been drinking hours before the arrest.
A breathalyzer test revealed she was almost three times over the legal limit for driving.
She was taken to Macomb County Jail and released shortly afterwards, but failed to attend her DUI court hearing last month.
Fans were surprised just how different Scott looked at the time of her arrest, with a short blonde pixie cut unlike the long hair she had previously worn.
Kim Scott rushed to hospital
Now TMZ reports that Scott has been rushed to hospital after she was seen being taken out of her home on a gurney while unconscious, before being loaded up into the back of an ambulance.
The publication has obtained a recording of the 911 call, in which a dispatcher tells first responders there has been a ‘suicide attempt’.
Chesterfield Fire confirmed that emergency services had been called at around 8pm on Saturday, July 11, for a person who was ‘unconscious’ or ‘fainting’.
Scott is said to have suffered a haemorrhage or laceration around that time which led to uncontrolled and heavy bleeding.
She was then taken to McLaren Macomb Hospital however her current condition is unknown.
