Harry Potter Star Announces They’ve Started OFs
A Harry Potter star has announced they have started an OFs to get themselves out of debt.
For many who grew up watching the Harry Potter movies, the very idea of this may seem shocking.
The star has explained their reasoning for making an account and shared the type of content they’ll post.
But the actor is by no means the first A-lister to decide to join the site, with a growing number of celebrities turning to OFs to make extra income.
Singer Lily Allen announced she was joining the platform in June 2024, after learning she had 5-star rated feet on the celebrity foot-ranking site, WikiFeet.
Allen now sells foot pics for $10 a month.
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), the ‘Smile’ singer said: “Imagine being an artist and having nearly eight million monthly listeners on Spotify but earning more money from having 1,000 people subscribe to pictures of your feet.
“Don’t hate the player, hate the game.”
Disney star Bella Thorne, rapper Cardi B, and reality star Blac Chyna have all previously used OFs, earning millions from the site.
The Sopranos actress Drea De Matteo told the New York Post: “I kept putting more pictures up. I was like, holy s**t. In five minutes, I was able to pay back Compass Real Estate, who kept the sale of my house.”
OFs is a subscription-based content-sharing service. The site is for sharing anything a creator may please, however, it is now renowned for explicit and p***ographic content.
The Harry Potter star announced she has started an OFs page for her hair. She said in an Instagram video that she will be offering subscribers ‘the best quality hair sounds’ and “very sensual stuff.”
The actress specified that she would not post s**ual content to the site and that her videos would aim to appeal to those with hair fetishes.
Sharing on her podcast ‘Before We Break Up Again’: “I am launching an OFs, it’s not a s**ual one, It’s a fetish. Fetish doesn’t necessarily mean s**ual.”
The 37-year-old clarified that despite the site being associated with s**ual content, it can be more than that.
In her online blog, the actress addressed her decision, sharing: “One year. I’ll try for one year. My aim? To get the house safe, cover the arsenic/lead wallpaper, build a new roof etc.
“My aim? To get out of debt. My aim? To empower myself? To prove to those in the past who have misjudged me that I’m not so sweet? To put time into something I never invested in before: self-love.
“Were my years of Harry Potter conventions in fact research? It feels like I’m doing something naughty, something a little f***ed up. I like that. Ripping up the good little actress rule book.”
Jessie Cave debuted as Lavender Brown in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and reprised the character in both Deathly Hallows movies.
Cave has also starred in films such as Great Expectations, along with television series Black Mirror and Industry.
She voiced Lavender Brown in two Harry Potter video games.
