TikTok star K Jordy has revealed why these five British words ‘don’t sit right’ with him.

They’re well-known – and well-loved – words among Brits.

But five of the nation’s favorite slang terms have been slammed by the American TikToker, who finds them so strange that he’s called for them to be made ‘illegal.’

K Jordy, who moved to London from the U.S., is known for making witty jokes and observations about the U.K., from the country’s diverse accents to its love of chip butties.

And his amusing clip about British slang is no different.

“First up, is b***dy,” says the vlogger, who boasts nearly 280,000 TikTok followers. “I don’t understand the need to say that – and every time I hear it, I think of blood.”

“B***dy hell,” he adds, before pulling a face.

Speaking to the camera while walking down a British street, K Jordy continues: “Second, we got b****cks [he means the swearword, b****cks].

“Don’t ask me what this means, but all I know is, when they’re p***ed off, they shout, ‘Oh, b****cks.’ When I first heard someone shout it, I genuinely thought something was going down.”

The vlogger then reveals his third ‘should-be-made-illegal’ word, which he deems ‘the grossest.’

“It’s dribble,” he reveals, looking revolted.

“Dribble is when someone’s drooling out their mouth. It just sounds so gross when they’re like, ‘Oh, someone has a little dribble in their mouth.’

“It doesn’t really sound right, it doesn’t really sit with me well.”

Ploughing on with his criticism of British slang terms, K Jordy adds: “Number four is a food, and it’s bubble and squeak. ‘Til this day, I don’t know what the hell bubble and squeak is.

“I don’t wanna have dinner and someone puts down bubble and squeak on my plate.”

Bubble and squeak is a traditional British dish. It is typically made of mashed potatoes and cabbage – leftover from a previous meal – which are mixed together then pan-fried.

“And last, but not least, is k**b,” says K Jordy, coming to the end of his hilarious clip.

“Now, this one’s an insult. Calling someone a k**b doesn’t really sound right.

“And you know exactly what I’m thinking when someone first tried to call somebody a k**b, bro.

“I was like, ‘Nah, this can’t be real!'”

The content creator’s followers were quick to correct him on his spelling of b****cks.

Others filled him in on the contents of the dish, bubble and squeak.

“[It’s] just leftovers from a roast dinner or Christmas dinner-type thing, fried and served for breakfast,” wrote one.

But K Jordy’s rant about U.K. slang words didn’t stop there.

In another clip, the vlogger hits out at terms that ‘shouldn’t exist’ – including niggle, knicker, gutted, minging and snog, which he considers a ‘disgusting’ alternative to the word kiss.

However, there are some phrases that do pass the K Jordy test.

“First up is innit,” the TikTok star says in other footage. “You cannot go wrong with innit. Just saying ‘innit,’ I don’t know, it just goes so well with anything, innit. See.”

Other approved words were keen (‘such a smooth word’), peak, and bare. Ironically, he also loves the phrase, ‘taking the p***’ – the thing he does, very well, out of Britain.
