An influencer is suing a plastic surgeon for $2.2 million amid claims her ‘overly large’ breast implants have ruined her career.

English-born Danielle Mansutti, 30, is a YouTube star who gained over 1.6 million subscribers for her makeup tutorials, fashion, and lifestyle videos.

She claims she was left with ‘disfigured’ breasts and a ‘very poor cosmetic appearance’ after undergoing three operations between December 2020 and May 2021.

Mansutti had breast implants in December 2020, followed by further surgeries in January and May 2021 after her left breast began to ‘droop’ and her nipple to ‘point outwards.’

After meeting with a third surgeon, the influencer says she was finally advised that the implants were too big for her frame and had resulted in her chest muscles on her left side tearing away from the bone, leading to pain and asymmetrical breasts.

Mansutti, who had the implants removed in May 2021, is now suing Harley Street plastic surgeon Dr. Domenico Mileto, who carried out the original procedure, and is accusing him of recommending oversized implants.

Dr. Mileto denies blame and insists there was nothing wrong with the surgery, that the implants weren’t too big, and that they were the size Mansutti had requested.

In the surgeon’s defence, Matthew Barnes said the surgeon ‘gave the claimant the opportunity to try several implant sizes and take photographs so that she could consider her options after the appointment.’

It’s also said he ‘advised the claimant that she could have a second appointment if she was uncertain about the size.’

In documents lodged with the court, Mansutti’s barrister, Caroline Hallissey, says the top surgeon operated on the influencer after she decided to increase her breast size.

Notes from the initial consultation in November 2020 recorded that the influencer’s ‘now size bra is 34B, wants C/D.’

It was also said that the claimant requested a ‘natural breast appearance’ and ‘did not want the appearance of obviously augmented breasts.’

Mansutti was reportedly given ‘two to three implants to try,’ and when she expressed an interest in a small size, it’s alleged the surgeon ‘advised her to go for the larger implant as he said the implant would ‘drop’ and ‘shrink’ in time.’

It’s claimed the influencer wasn’t advised of any possible risks concerning the size Dr. Mileto allegedly recommended.

It’s said that following the first surgery, Mansutti saw a nurse on January 20, 2021, who was already concerned that her left breast was lower than her right.

This led to a revision by a second medic in January 2021, which achieved ‘short-term relief of the pain.’ But this is said to have returned, and the breast again ‘descended lower on the chest wall.’

Mansutti had her implants removed by a third surgeon in May 2021 yet claims she’s been left with a ‘physical deformity’ caused by muscle damage and stretch marks.

The influencer’s barrister claims the ‘pain and muscle damage have had a significant effect on her quality of life and ability to work.’

Mansutti claims the ordeal has impacted her physically and mentally, leading her to quit the U.K. and ‘stopping work as an influencer’ and her ‘successful social media career.’

The high court heard how she quit working as an influencer a month after having the first surgery.

The case is set to return to court for a five-day trial at a later date.
