Bailey Hutchins Has Died Aged 26
Bailey Hutchins has tragically died aged 26.
The influencer, who was also a registered nurse, garnered a following of over 170,000 on TikTok as she shared an insight into her life, including her health struggles.
Hutchins had a big impact on her audience and, after the devastating news of her passing, tributes are pouring in.
“Rest in peace angel,” one person writes.
Another fan echoes: “This is absolutely gut-wrenching, I’m so so sorry.”
Somebody else writes: “I am so so sorry for you and your family’s loss. Bailey was an inspiration to watch. Thank you for sharing her with us all, prayers from my family to yours.”
“I think every one of us here are crying and just so heartbroken for you all. The pain must be indescribable and I’m truly sorry you’ve endured such hurt. Sending all of our love. What a beautiful person inside and out,” a fourth types.
Hutchins’ husband, Caden, announced her passing on her TikTok page.
In his heartbreaking caption, he wrote: “Last night our Bailey B passed on to heaven. Although we selfishly wanted her here forever we are at peace knowing that she is no longer has to endure pain or suffering.”
Caden went on to describe her spirit as being ‘radiant as the sun,’ adding: “Bailey is such a light and we plan on continuing to let it shine in.”
The video announcing the heartbreaking news has garnered over 9.2 million views at the time of writing.
Hutchins grew her following by sharing her journey with cancer.
She was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer with peritoneal metastasis (when cancer spreads to the peritoneum, the tissue lining the abdominal cavity, as per the National University Cancer Institute) in 2023, aged just 24.
She used her TikTok account, @healingwithbailey, to document her experience and raise awareness of the disease.
Hutchins also educated her followers on the early signs of cancer and the importance of getting checked.
After battling the devastating disease for two years, Hutchins sadly passed away earlier this month.
Her sister, Ashley, also shared a post on Instagram to honor her: “As of 2/7 at 10:30 pm, after a two-year battle of a terrible disease, my beautiful sister gained her angel wings. There is nothing that can prepare you for a loss like this.
“I don’t even have the words to express the immense sadness and heartbreak I feel. You’re supposed to grow old with your siblings and lose your loved ones in a conventional way.
“But last night we lost a sister, my parent’s baby girl, her husband’s soulmate, and a friend to many. My sister has always been my best friend and I’m so incredibly blessed to have had such a special sisterly bond.”
Ashley also commented on the lives she touched: “She impacted the lives of over 200,000 people through her story. She shared her journey, vulnerable moments, her wins, her losses, and everything in between. She saved lives.”
Hutchins is survived by her husband Caden, Ashley, and her parents.
