It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia Star Has Died
A star of the hit TV series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has tragically died.
The popular American sitcom, created by Rob McElhenney and co-developed by Glenn Howerton, follows the exploits of ‘The Gang,’ a group of self-centered friends who run Paddy’s Pub, an unsuccessful Irish bar in South Philadelphia.
Starring Howerton, McElhenney, Charlie Day, Kaitlin Olson, and Danny DeVito, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is the longest-running live-action comedy, with a 17th season set to premiere this year.
Now, after hearing of the loss of one of its stars, fans are taking to social media and paying tribute.

One fan shares: “I’ve seen Always Sunny more times than I can count and she’s always a highlight on the show. She will be missed.”
Another says: “RIP. I know the Sunny crew is going to honor her in such an amazing Sunny way.”
“Currently crying. RIP, she was the funniest on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Sending condolences,” a third adds.
A fourth person comments: “A bright performer. Loved her on Pee Wee as a kid and her sense of humor in playing on Sunny in Philly is astronomical. RIP.”

Lynne Marie Stewart was a member of the renowned comedy troupe The Groundlings in the 1970s.
She was widely known for her iconic role as Miss Yvonne ‘The Most Beautiful Woman in Puppetland’ in the 1981 stage show The Pee-wee Herman Show, before taking it to TV with Pee-wee’s Playhouse, the 2010 Los Angeles stage revival, and the Broadway production which opened in November 2010.
Stewart was also recognized for her recurring role as Charlie Kelly’s mother Bonnie in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. According to IMDb, she starred in 18 episodes.

Stewart’s representative, Bette Smith, told USA TODAY that the actress died at age 78 on Friday.
The star had reportedly been struggling with exhaustion before a cancerous tumor was found near her liver and gallbladder in mid-December.
Smith shared: “Lynne was the most wonderful actress. She was the kindest and most honorable person,” adding Stewart ‘loved the craft’ and ‘didn’t care’ about receiving ‘pay or press.’
The representative also revealed: “This was totally unexpected, and she passed a month or so after her diagnosis.”
Stewart is survived by her sister, Gayle Stewart.
