Kim Kardashian Issues Health Update After Suffering Brain Aneurysm
Kim Kardashian has issued a health update after revealing she’d had a brain aneurysm.
The SKIMS founder sent shockwaves through her fanbase when she revealed a deeply personal health scare during the season seven premiere of The Kardashians.
Kim disclosed that she had been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm after undergoing a routine MRI scan, footage of which was captured for the Hulu reality series.
During the episode, the 45-year-old underwent an MRI scan that revealed what she described as a ‘little aneurysm’ in her brain.
In emotional footage, viewers watched as the reality star received the concerning news from doctors before calling her sister Kourtney to share the diagnosis.
“There was a little aneurysm,” Kim told her sister by phone. She added what doctors attributed the finding to, telling her: “Just stress.”
Kourtney reacted with shock, responding: “Whoa!”

Kim connected the medical finding to years of stress stemming from her tumultuous divorce from rapper Kanye West.
The former couple, who married in 2014, finalized their divorce in 2022 after Kim filed in 2021. They share four children: North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6.
“I feel more stressed probably just because I have to protect my kids,” Kim said in the episode. “Everyone around can handle [the drama], but I want to protect my babies.”
The reality star also revealed that the stress from her divorce had physical manifestations beyond the aneurysm.
The stress from her divorce caused her psoriasis, a chronic skin condition, to flare up after years without symptoms. “I haven’t had psoriasis since I got divorced, and it just started coming back,” she shared in the episode.
Throughout the episode, Kim discussed the ongoing challenges of co-parenting with West, who has publicly criticized the Kardashian family since their separation.
“My ex will be in my life no matter what. We have four kids together,” she said.
A brain aneurysm is a bulge or swelling in a blood vessel in the brain caused by a weakness in the vessel wall, per Mayo Clinic.
Many small aneurysms do not cause symptoms and may not require treatment beyond monitoring.
However, if an aneurysm ruptures, it can cause life-threatening bleeding in the brain.

While medical professionals note that stress does not directly cause aneurysms to form, chronic stress can raise blood pressure and damage blood vessels over time – factors that may contribute to aneurysm development.
Additionally, emotional stress can cause sudden blood pressure spikes that might trigger a rupture in an existing aneurysm.
On Tuesday, Kim appeared on Good Morning America to provide fans with an update on her condition, MailOnline reports.
The mother-of-four wore a skintight white dress with a high collar and long sleeves, appearing alongside her All’s Fair costars in New York City.
“I had to end up going and getting tons of other brain scans at Cedars-Sinai [Medical Center] with all the team,” the SKIMS creator said on the morning show.
Reassuring fans about her health, Kim indicated that more details would be shared in upcoming episodes of The Kardashians but emphasized that she is doing well. “Everything works out.”
The Prenuvo scan she had is ‘just a good measure to make sure you always check everything,’ she added.
Reflecting on the experience, Kim shared an important message about prioritizing health: “Health is wealth, and you just have to be careful with everything that you do.”
