LAPD Issue Statement After People Call For Kanye West’s Arrest Over Wife’s X-Rated Outfit
Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, sparked major controversy at the 67th Grammys thanks to Censori’s X-rated outfit, and now the LAPD has issued a statement.
The highly anticipated event, hosted in Los Angeles, serves as an annual celebration of musical excellence, recognizing the industry’s most outstanding contributions over the past year.
While headlines were dominated by significant wins, including Beyoncé securing her first Album of the Year award, much of the online discourse revolved around West and Censori’s striking red carpet moment.
Social media quickly erupted with reactions to the couple’s daring fashion choices. A concerned user questioned: “Aren’t there laws against this sort of thing???”
Another added:” “She seriously needs to get away from him.”
Others echoed similar sentiments, expressing dismay and confusion over the situation.
This is honestly so sad, I really hope she gets away from Kanye,” one commenter wrote.
Another perplexed viewer asked: “Why did she do that!? I seriously don’t understand this relationship.”
One more social media user speculated: “Kanye and his wife Bianca Censori at the Grammys. Wait, how is this allowed? This is illegal, right?”

West and Censori’s relationship has long been a topic of discussion, particularly regarding his influence over her wardrobe.
Many have noted that her outfits frequently feature sheer or minimal fabric, raising ongoing concerns among fans.
However, their Grammys appearance took things to an unprecedented level.
At this year’s awards, West, who was nominated for Best Rap Song for his collaboration on Carnival, donned an all-black ensemble with matching sunglasses.
Meanwhile, Censori arrived in an oversized black fur coat.
The moment that left audiences stunned came when, according to a lip reader cited by Mirror US, West allegedly encouraged Censori to remove the coat.
The exchange reportedly included the phrases: “You’re making a scene now,” followed by: “Make a scene, I’ll say it’ll make so much sense,” before instructing her to: “Drop it behind you and then turn, I got you.”
When she complied, she revealed a sheer, skin-toned mini dress, leaving her effectively nude.
This bold fashion choice immediately went viral, with reactions pouring in across social media.

Reports emerged suggesting that the couple was escorted from the venue following the scandalous moment.
Entertainment Tonight initially claimed in a now-deleted Instagram post that West and Censori were ‘escorted out after showing up uninvited,’ per The Independent.
However, Page Six reported conflicting accounts, with a source stating that West left voluntarily, explaining: “He walked the red carpet and then got in his car and left.”
Former CNN journalist Don Lemon, reporting from inside the Crypto.com Arena, also weighed in, stating: “I’m hearing that Kanye wanted to do the red carpet and he wasn’t invited, that’s what I’m hearing from the folks here at the Grammys.
“He then left, or maybe he was escorted out. Folks are saying he just wanted to do the carpet. But he is definitely gone now.”
Lemon later updated his TikTok, revealing he had spoken with a representative for West, who clarified that the rapper had been invited and was not forcibly removed.
Another insider from the Recording Academy confirmed to TMZ that West was, in fact, an invited guest and was not forcibly escorted out.
And now, the Los Angeles Police Department has issued a statement.

Despite the outcry, Censori will not be facing any legal repercussions for her outfit choice.
Sources within the Los Angeles Police Department informed TMZ that no official complaints were lodged by attendees of the event.
Additionally, legal experts weighed in on whether her attire could be considered indecent exposure under California law.
Andrea Oguntula, a Los Angeles-based attorney, explained to Page Six: “While Ms. Censori’s outfit undoubtedly pushed the envelope, a charge of indecent exposure in California requires willful public exposure of one’s genitals with the specific intent to offend or sexually arouse.”
She further added: “It’s theoretically possible but unlikely she’ll face any criminal prosecution for this incident,” emphasizing that the district attorney’s office would have to make the final decision on such matters.
Event security, provided by Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG Worldwide) and the Recording Academy, was present throughout the evening.
Sources connected to the event clarified that West had expressed his intent to walk the red carpet, reinforcing that his attendance was sanctioned.
