Myers first appeared on the hit TLC show in season 10 – which aired in January 2022.
At the start of the episode, it showed the aspiring gospel singer bedridden while weighing 940 pounds.
Before appearing on the show, Myers had undergone weight loss surgery and had become a motivational speaker for those struggling with their weight.
But unfortunately, he gained 400 pounds back.
While on My 600-Ib Life, Myers explained how losing both his mother and his nephew led him to adopt bad habits of binge eating.
“I eat to comfort myself,” he explained. “When I’m cooking, it’s the only time I’m happy, besides when I’m eating.
“So it’s the time that I like to sing and I sing gospel. Because the rest of the time, when I’m not eating, most of my thoughts are morbidly depressing.”
Throughout the course of the episode, Myers was able to lose more than 100 pounds.
Before his death, Myers would share snaps of his new healthy lifestyle – which included boxing and having a more nutritious diet.
His god-sister, Sonya Hines-Hall, has set up a GoFundMe page to help fund his funeral.
At the time of writing, it has raised $3,931.
She has also paid tribute to Myers too, saying: “Larry, aka Mr Buttermilk Biscuits, has used his musical talents to bless others since the age of 10.
“From a small storefront church in his home town to the big stage of the Apollo theatre, Larry always made himself available to sing at special events anytime anyone asked, most of the time free of charge.
