Len Goodman was an English professional ballroom dancer who was the head judge on the popular ITV dance show from its launch in 2004 to 2016.
He also starred in the US version of the programme, Dancing with the Stars.

Daily Express reports, that according to Goodman’s death certificate, he died from metastatic prostate cancer after it spread to his bones.
The prostate is a small gland in the pelvis and is part of the male reproductive system.
According to the NHS website, prostate cancer usually spreads slowly and there may not be symptoms for years.
Cancer Research UK says that metastatic prostate cancer is often called ‘advanced prostate cancer’.
“It most commonly spreads to lymph nodes in other parts of the body or to the bones. It can also spread to other organs such as the lungs,” the charity explains.
Daily Express reports that Goodman had undergone surgery to remove a cancerous tumour in his prostate gland back in June 2009.
He didn’t receive treatment until after filming Dancing with the Stars.
In an interview with Mail on Sunday at the time, he said: “I could have said ‘sorry’ and not done the show, but the doctors felt I wasn’t riddled with it and it wasn’t so far advanced that it was a life-or-death scenario.”
Goodman reportedly said that everything went ‘gorgeously good’ after the operation, however, his death certificate shows that at some point, the cancer tragically returned.
Months prior to his death, the TV star revealed that he would be retiring from the industry in order to ‘spend more time with my grandchildren and family back in Britain’.
After his passing, many of Goodman’s friends and co-stars in showbiz took to social media to pay tribute.
