Macaulay Culkin Fans Can’t Believe Star Is In A Relationship With Another TV Legend
Fans have been left shocked after learning Macaulay Culkin is in a relationship with another kids TV legend.
When you picture Culkin in your head, you probably still see him as a small child in the Christmas classic Home Alone – making it even more insane for fans to learn he’s settled down with another star.
Sharing their disbelief on social media, one fan writes: “OK slow down. I didn’t know they were together!”
Another adds: “I am shocked, since when!?”
“I feel so much better knowing I’m not the only one oblivious to this,” a third person says.
Culkin was one of the most famous child actors in the world, rising to fame after starring in Home Alone, which grossed more than $285.8 million in the U.S. and Canada alone.
He went on to star in the hit films My Girl and Home Alone 2: Lost In New York.
At such a young age, Culkin had reached heights of fame many could only dream of.
By 1995, following a run of successes, the actor took a break from acting and kept most of his personal life hidden from the public.
At just 18 years old, Culkin tied the knot to Guiding Light soap opera actress Rachel Miner.
The pair met when Miner enrolled at Professional Children’s School in New York where Culkin was already studying.
Their relationship was relatively short-lived, with the pair separating and filing for divorce in 2002.
A spokesperson for them at the time said (per ABC News): “It is very amicable and they remain [the] best of friends.”
Culkin went on to have a long-term relationship with fellow A-list actress Mila Kunis, dating from 2002 to 2010.
Speaking of their relationship, Kunis told Parade in 2007: “We’re incredibly private, and I think we relish the privacy we do actually have and are able to sustain it.
The actress said despite their ‘ups and downs’ Culkin was her ‘steady rock.’
Following the pair’s breakup, Kunis’ publicist said: “The split was amicable, and they remain close friends.”
In an interview with Howard Stern a few years later, Kunis said of their relationship (per Entertainment Tonight): “You couldn’t walk down the street with him.”
She said fans responded to Culkin ‘in a very abnormal way’ and that it ‘wasn’t like a normal response.’
Yet despite the actor’s huge fandom, he’s managed to maintain a personal life that many fans had no idea of.
In 2023, when Culkin was honored with a star on Hollywood Boulevard for his contributions to the motion picture industry, he attended the event with his famous partner, with whom he has two sons.
The star met Brenda Song in 2017 on the set of Changeland, and the two hit it off.
Song is best known for playing the titular character in the action film Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior and London Tipton in the comedy franchise The Suite Life.
Culkin and Song have been engaged since 2022.
