Megan Fox Fans Say She’s ‘Taking It Too Far’ After Announcing ‘Ridiculous’ Baby Name
Nearly three months after quietly welcoming their baby girl, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have finally shared her name with the world – and, unsurprisingly, it’s anything but conventional.
In an emotional Instagram reveal, MGK, whose birth name is Colson Baker, strummed a gentle ukulele melody while his daughter listened off‑camera.
MGK and Fox, who first crossed paths while filming Midnight in the Switchgrass in early 2020, had kept their little one’s identity under wraps, as the rapper explained they wanted to ‘learned to navigate this time together in private.’
When they first announced the baby girl’s arrival, the pair posted a close‑up of the newborn’s tiny fingers wrapped around her father’s hand and wrote: “She’s finally here!! Our little celestial seed 3/27/25.”
Fox and MGK both came to the relationship with children of their own.
The Transformers actress co‑parents sons Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 8, with ex‑husband Brian Austin Green, while Baker’s daughter Casie, born in 2009, is now a teenager.
Green and MGK have not always seen eye‑to‑eye; in fact, just days before Saga’s birth, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alumnus told TMZ he was ‘heartbroken’ over his ex‑wife’s split from the musician, adding: “I just want the best for her. I want the best for the baby. I want the best for our kids.”
MGK’s response, later posted publicly by Green, was blistering: “Stop asking when our child is gonna be born. You the FEDS… Quit calling TMZ and focus on that apology you owe me for speaking on my name in public. You chose the wrong one to f*** with, mr child actor. Go back to cereal commercials.”
The spat was a sharp reminder of the couple’s rollercoaster journey – engagements, breakups, reconciliations, and, tragically, a miscarriage in 2023.
Fox later told Good Morning America she ‘had never been through anything like that before in my life,’ confessing the loss sent the pair ‘on a very wild journey together and separately and together and apart,’ as they grappled with: “What does this mean and why did this happen?”
Their rainbow‑after‑the‑storm pregnancy was announced in November 2024 with lyrics from MGK’s song about that miscarriage – Fox captioned the post: “Nothing is ever really lost. Welcome back.”
In May, she shared an earlier photo of herself, long before her bump showed, noting: “38 years old. Six weeks pregnant (unplanned but happy surprise).”
She took the opportunity to clap back at critics, writing: “Please stop listening to the patriarchy. Women are eternal light beings. We do not have an expiration date. Don’t let them rob you of your power.”
Following the birth, MGK announced the baby girl’s name, and fans have been predictably polarized.
One commenter gushed: “This is so cute! What an awesome name.”
Another added: “Actually pretty f***ing cool.”
Yet another predicted: “She will definitely change her name when she is of age.”
In agreement, a second said: “That poor, poor kid.”
Someone else quipped it felt like the parents: “Picked random names and couldn’t pick, so they mushed them up.”
“Saga Blade Fox‑Baker,” MGK wrote followed by a flaming‑heart emoji and the sweet acknowledgment: “Thank you for the ultimate gift @meganfox.”
