Fans of the late Michelle Trachtenberg have been left outraged after the actress was ‘disrespected’ at Sunday’s Oscars.

The former child star turned TV actress, best known for her roles in Gossip Girl and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, tragically died at age 39 on Wednesday.

Trachtenberg was reportedly found by her mother at around 8 a.m. at a 51-story luxury apartment complex in Manhattan’s Central Park South neighborhood.

An NYPD statement said the star was found ‘unconscious and unresponsive.’

Paramedics pronounced Trachtenberg dead at the scene. No foul play is suspected.

According to the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office, the actress’s family objected to an autopsy, resulting in her cause of death being ‘undetermined,’ per People magazine.

At Sunday’s Oscars, actors, filmmakers, and Hollywood industry individuals who have died over the past year were honored in the memoriam segment- yet Trachtenberg was noticeably left out.

Taking to social media and reacting to this omission, one Trachtenberg fan wrote: “Oh f*** y’all for not including Michelle Trachtenberg. So disrespectful.”

“Michelle Trachtenberg not being mentioned in the in memoriam section of the Oscars is upsetting,” another agreed. “You are and will remain so, so loved and admired, Michelle.”

A third added: “Michelle Trachtenberg deserved to be shown and remembered in that Oscars’ in memoriam. That was actually so disrespectful.”

“The In Memoriam not honoring Michelle Trachtenberg is awful and does not sit right with me,” commented someone else.

A fifth wrote: “Michelle Trachtenberg being left out of the Oscars memoriam segment was wrong on so many levels!”

The Oscars Memoriam segment, presented by Morgan Freeman, highlighted stars such as Maggie Smith and Gene Hackman, who also died last week.

Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, were similarly found dead in their New Mexico home last Wednesday. One of their three dogs was also found deceased in a kennel.

It’s believed the couple had been dead for some time before being found, as they were reportedly found in a ‘mummified’ state.
