Millie Bobby Brown Called Out For Kissing Co-Star ‘Without Consent’
Millie Bobby Brown has been called out for kissing her co-star ‘without consent’.
The Stranger Things star, 19, broke onto the scene as Eleven in the hit Netflix series and recently became the face of the Enola Holmes film franchise.
Enola Holmes 2 has been well-received by critics since its release – scoring a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
However, one scene in the movie has now left the young actress in hot water.

Fans were quick to share their thoughts on social media.
One person said: “I think people forget that this isn’t just a kiss. This is a professional environment. If this were to happen in any other profession it would be.”
Someone else wrote: “Thank you for pointing this out, I mentioned this to a couple of my friends and they just said I was making it weird.”
“Couldn’t agree more with you,” added a third.
However, some people have jumped to Brown’s defence.
“I think they already read the script so he knew they had to kiss,” commented one person.
Another user added: “Don’t wanna be that guy, but it’s not that deep.”
Someone else explained: “I can appreciate the perspective, but I think this situation is fine. They’re ACTING. Enola 100% would have done just that and Millie nailed it.”
Speaking to Netflix on TikTok, Brown (Enola Holmes) broke down her on-screen kiss with co-star Louis Partridge (Tewkesbury).
Brown explained how she grabbed his face to initiate the kiss, to the surprise of her cast member, and how the moment was exciting for her character to make the first move.
She also added that in the lead-up to the kiss, her character punches Partridge’s character.

The Stranger Things star said: “Within the scene, I had to punch him and because Louis is a good friend, I just kept punching him.
“I wasn’t doing stunts, I really was hurting him and by the end of it, he said ‘Millie can you just fake punch me?’.
“I was fully getting him right in the stomach.”
Her comments about the scene have now been called out by an intimacy expert.

Jessica Steinrock, who goes by the name of Intimacy Coordinator on TikTok, says: “I love Millie Bobby Brown, but this is not the cute story you think it is.”
She acknowledges that Brown and Partridge probably do have a lot of trust and chemistry, but she explains that we ‘should never surprise anyone during a fight or intimate scene’.
The Intimacy Coordinator then claims that this means the Enola Holmes actress initiated the kiss without consent.
“When your screen partner acts surprised after you kissed them, that means the communication didn’t happen the way it really needs to,” Steinrock adds.
She goes on to point out that Brown would also have more power than her co-star in that situation, due to her being a well-known star.
Steinrock finishes the video by admitting that she really did love Enola Holmes 2, while adding ‘consent is mandatory’.
