‘Miss Rodeo’ Has Died Aged 20
‘Miss Rodeo’ has tragically died at age 20.
Valeria Mireles, a cowgirl influencer known as ‘Miss Rodeo,’ gained a following across social media for her cowgirl lifestyle.
Mireles had amassed nearly 28,000 followers on Instagram, and on TikTok she reached nearly 50,000.
In addition to her passion for equestrianism, she shared content related to her lifestyle and personal care.
Miss Rodeo’s last post on social media was a video of herself and a friend dancing.
After hearing the devastating news of the 20-year-old’s passing, fans paid tribute on social media.
One user writes: “I can’t believe it, this news left me in shock. Rest in peace, Valeria.”
“Just imagining the pain of her family, and the fact that her horses don’t know that there will no longer be another rodeo with her, makes my heart race,” another person comments.
“How sad such a young life is gone and what pain for her family,” a third says. “Rest in peace, pretty cowgirl.”
A fourth pens: “I loved watching her videos, she was so talented. Fly high, angel.”
Mireles was set for a bright future.
She was introduced to rodeo as an eight-year-old and was crowned Miss Rodeo Nuevo León 2020-2021 and Miss Rodeo Mexico 2021-2022.
Mireles was a runner-up in the 2021 national pole race and, the following year, represented Mexico at an international rodeo competition in Wyoming.
The Mexican Rodeo Federation shared in a statement: “Valeria was more than a rodeo queen; she was an ambassador of cowboy culture, an inspiration to many young women.
“Her smile lit up every arena, and her passion for rodeo was contagious. Although her passing leaves a void, her legacy will live on in our hearts and in the memory of rodeo.”
The cowgirl’s uncle, David González, the former mayor of her hometown, Sabinas Hidalgo, grieved Mireles on Facebook.
“Niece Ana Valeria Mireles Villarreal, you will always live in our hearts. We will miss you very much.”
The influencer died following a car accident that occurred in the northeastern state of Nuevo León, Mexico.
Further details surrounding Mireles’s death have not yet been released.
According to the Mexican outlet N+, her parents have ‘asked that their privacy be respected at this difficult time.’
They are offering no further public comment concerning their tragic loss.
