Singer Tulisa Has Come Out As Demis**ual
The former N-Dubz star and X-Factor judge has come out as demis**ual.
Tulisa found fame in the late 2000s as a member of the hip-hop group N-Dubz, known for tracks such as ‘I Need You’ and ‘Ouch.’
She found further success as a solo artist with her debut solo studio album ‘The Female Boss,’ which featured the U.K. number one single ‘Young.’
Alongside her music career, Tulisa has had success in showbiz – she was a judge on the X-Factor from 2011 to 2012.
Until very recently, the singer had largely stepped away from the limelight. However, she’s now back on TV screens and more candid than ever.
Tulisa is a contestant on season 24 of the popular survival reality TV show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, which follows a group of celebrities living together under extreme conditions, alongside a few creepy crawlies.
Before her appearance on the program, the ‘Live It Up’ singer revealed plans to quit showbusiness.
On Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast, Tulisa said (per MailOnline): “The music industry is wild, it is ridiculous. I’m through most of it. I’ll be out in two years from now. I’m going into property next year.
“I think I’ll always come back for N-Dubz. But I think the person I’ve become, I’m a public figure that doesn’t really like being in the public eye.”
The singer said she would like to open ‘themed rentals’ which would be ‘super fantasy geek,’ such as Game of Thrones.
“So, yeah, that’s my plan for 2024. I’m absolutely buzzing,” she added.
Now, Tulisa has opened up about her s**uality during her appearance on I’m a Celebrity.
The singer revealed that she needs ‘to have a really close emotional bond with someone’ before she can begin to find them s**ually attractive.
She said: “For me, it’s all about the connection and the emotions that I feel with someone and then wanting to express them in that way.”
What Tulisa has described is demis**uality, which is a s**ual orientation where an individual does not experience primary s**ual attraction.
WebMD elaborates: “When you’re demis**ual, you need an emotional connection to someone before you can feel s**ually attracted to them. You may be gay, straight, bis**ual, demiromantic, sapios**ual, gray as**ual, or pans**ual. You can have any gender identity.”
Since Tulisa has opened up about identifying as demis**ual, fans have rushed to X (formerly Twitter) and shared their support.
One fan writes: “Like I couldn’t adore this f***ing qween more, Tulisa saying she thinks she might be demis**ual is EVERYTHING!”
Another adds: “Running to X to share my excitement over Tulisa sharing she’s demis**ual and on national TV!”
“Actually love Tulisa for talking about being demis**ual,” somebody else enthuses.
