Ana Orsini’s Cause Of Death Confirmed
Ana Orsini’s cause of death has been confirmed.
Orsini, a beloved news anchor from Arizona, tragically died at just 28 years old.
Orsini began her career in journalism in 2018 after graduating from Texas A&M University.
Her first position was at a news station in Lubbock, Texas.
Over the years, her career flourished as she worked for NewsWatch 12 for three years before joining KOLD News 13, a CBS affiliate in Tucson, Arizona, in June 2023.
Her sudden passing was announced during a KOLD-TV broadcast on December 16.
Tyler Butler, a co-anchor at the station, shared the heartbreaking news: “Sad news to share with you, our beloved friend and co-anchor Ana Orsini passed away unexpectedly last week.”
Co-anchor Carsyn Currier, who was visibly emotional, added: “Ana has been here at 13 News since June of 2023, and we are devastated by this loss.”
KOLD-TV honored Orsini with a tribute, describing her as a person with ‘bottomless empathy’ who always fought for those in need.
Colleagues also reflected on her remarkable personality and dedication.
Butler, in a Facebook post on December 16, wrote: “Our beloved Ana Orsini TV passed away suddenly late last week.”
He called her ‘truly one of a kind’ and noted how she would always be remembered fondly.
Currier shared a heartfelt Instagram post, highlighting Orsini’s bright personality, which made their early shifts more enjoyable.
“Ana was not only beautiful, talented, and hilarious, but she was unlike anyone I’ve ever met,” Currier wrote.
Another colleague, Dan Marries, described Orsini as ‘one in a trillion,’ praising her compassion, sharp wit, and deep insights.
“We are all so heartbroken over this sudden and unexpected loss,” he said.
Beyond her professional achievements, Orsini was known for her dedication to animal rescue, a cause she championed both personally and professionally.
On December 17, Butler revealed in a Facebook post that Orsini’s death was caused by a brain aneurysm.
He described the loss as ‘so horrible, so sudden’ and shared a touching memory: “Ana was a force of nature. I keep thinking about how at times, I’d make a self-deprecating joke and she’d snap, ‘Hey! Don’t talk about my friend like that!’ Her genuine care for everyone around her will be missed.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, a brain aneurysm is a bulge in a brain blood vessel. While many do not rupture, those that do can become life-threatening and require immediate medical attention.
