Parks And Recreation Star Jonathon Joss Shot And Killed By Neighbor
Jonathon Joss has died aged 59 following a fatal shooting, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
The U.S. actor, whose legal name is Jonathan Joss Gonzales, voiced John Redcorn on the long-running animation King of the Hill, and played Ken Hotate in the sitcom Parks and Recreation.
He also appeared in ER, Charmed, and Friday Night Lights.
Before his passing, Joss spoke of his acting career in an interview with Bwaaa! A King of the Hill Podcast.
“I’ve just been really lucky to have really decent parts. I’ve never done a bad thing when it comes to acting,” he said.

A police report says officers were dispatched to a location for a ‘shooting in progress’ over the weekend.
When officers arrived, the victim, identified as Joss, was located ‘near the roadway of the location,’ and life-saving measures were attempted until EMS arrived and pronounced the actor dead.
A suspect, Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, was taken into custody and booked on a murder charge, the police said.
The San Antonio Police Department is now investigating Joss’ death.
On X, formerly Twitter, the SAPD stated: “Despite online claims of this being a hate crime, currently the investigation has found no evidence to indicate that Mr. Joss’s murder was related to his s**ual orientation.”
Yet Joss’ husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, has claimed in a social media post that the 59-year-old was killed in a homophobic attack.

Gonzales wrote on Facebook that the shooting happened when the couple visited the site of their old house, which ‘was burned down after over two years of threats from people in the area who repeatedly told us they would set it on fire.’
“When we returned to the site to check our mail, we discovered the skull of one of our dogs and its harness placed in clear view. This caused both of us severe emotional distress. We began yelling and crying in response to the pain of what we saw,” he said.
“While we were doing this, a man approached us. He started yelling violent, homophobic slurs at us. He then raised a gun from his lap and fired.
“Jonathan and I had no weapons. We were not threatening anyone. We were grieving. We were standing side by side. When the man fired, Jonathan pushed me out of the way. He saved my life.”
Gonzales added: “I was with him when he passed. I told him how much he was loved.”
In a follow-up post, Joss’ husband said he had ‘absolutely no plans yet’ regarding a memorial service but that he would keep fans updated.
Ceja’s bond was set at $200k, and his first court date is scheduled for August, per The Independent.
