Police Make Shocking Discovery In Hotel Room After Yankees Star’s Son Found Dead
Police have made a shocking discovery after Yankees star Brett Gardner’s son Miller was found dead.
Miller was found unresponsive in his hotel room on March 21.
Reports indicate that the night before, Brett, his wife Jessica, Miller, and their older son Hunter experienced severe stomach cramps, vomiting, and diarrhea after dining at an outside restaurant.
A doctor was called to the resort and provided the family with medication, leading authorities to also consider the possibility of an adverse drug reaction or an existing bacterial infection.
The Gardner family shared their grief in an emotional obituary, remembering Miller as a beloved son, friend, and athlete.
“The void Miller’s passing leaves in the hearts of his family, friends, teammates, teachers, coaches, and others will be felt for years,” they wrote.
In his memory, the family has requested donations to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, stating: “Miller was so blessed with experiences and friendships in his 14 years, and he would want other children to have the opportunity to create their own wonderful memories.”

Miller was an active participant in school and sports, playing on his middle school football team and junior varsity baseball team.
His obituary also highlighted his love for golf, fishing, hunting, riding dirt bikes, and traveling.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date for close friends and family.
Meanwhile, Costa Rican officials have acknowledged delays in the autopsy process due to an increase in homicide cases in the country, causing a backlog and leading to confusion about the cause of death.
Brett Gardner, who played his entire 14-season MLB career with the Yankees and was part of their 2009 World Series-winning team, has received an outpouring of support.
The Yankees honored Miller’s memory with a moment of silence before their Opening Day game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Stadium announcer Paul Olden described Miller as having ‘a spark in his eyes, an outgoing and feisty personality, and a warm and loving nature,’ Mail Online reports.
Aaron Judge, the Yankees’ captain, also paid tribute, acknowledging Gardner’s deep impact on his teammates.
“This guy was a leader of all of us, a second dad to some guys. He poured everything into every single guy,” Judge said.

Authorities in Costa Rica have now revealed that 14-year-old Miller may have died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
The tragic incident occurred while the Gardner family was on vacation at the Arenas Del Mar Beachfront & Rainforest Resort.
Initially, investigators considered asphyxiation due to ‘possible food poisoning’ as a potential cause of death.
However, Juan Pablo Alvarado Garcia of Costa Rica’s Judicial Investigations Agency (OIJ) later confirmed to Mail Online that this theory had been ruled out.
On Friday, a detailed investigation found ‘high levels of carbon monoxide contamination’ inside the family’s hotel room, according to Randall Zúñiga, the OIJ’s general director.
In a virtual press conference, Zúñiga stated: “It’s also important to note that next to [the family’s] room there is a specialized machine room, from which it is believed some form of contamination may have reached the guest rooms, potentially causing the incident.”
While toxicology results are still pending, initial findings suggest that carbon monoxide exposure played a role, with levels detected at 600 parts per million – significantly above the acceptable level of zero, according to Zúñiga.
A specialized team inspected the hotel room and confirmed the presence of the dangerous gas.
“That led us to the line of investigation that this person [Miller] could have died from inhaling these dangerous gases,” Zúñiga explained.
The OIJ has since alerted the local Fire Department and Ministry of Health to take the necessary measures regarding the contamination.
The agency is also collaborating with the FBI as the investigation continues.
