Shakira Rushed To Hospital As She’s Forced To Cancel Concert
Shakira was recently rushed to hospital, leading to the cancellation of one of her concerts.
The ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ singer was scheduled to perform in Lima, the capital of Peru, as part of her world tour.
Yet it’s now been confirmed through Instagram that unfortunately, Shakira’s concert will not be going ahead.
Many fans have taken to social media to express their well wishes.
One fan writes: “We love you and take all the time you need to get healthy again.”
Another message reads: “Get well soon my queen.”
“Please take care of yourself and get well soon. Our prayers are with you,” a third says.

Just weeks before this update, Shakira had a significant moment at the Grammy Awards, where she won the award for Best Latin Pop Album for ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.’
In her heartfelt acceptance speech, the star dedicated the win to: “all my immigrant brothers and sisters in this country,” per Radio Times.
She added: “You’re loved, you’re worth it, and I will always fight with you. To all of those women who work really hard every day to provide for their families, you are the true she-wolfs.”
Before being hospitalized, Shakira shared videos on social media revealing the warm welcome she received upon arriving in Peru.
The excitement surrounding her visit made the cancellation particularly disheartening for both the ‘Whenever, Wherever’ singer and her supporters.

Shakira’s career has been marked by immense success, but she has also faced challenges in recent years.
She settled a tax fraud case with Spanish authorities, paying a fine of €7.5 million (£6.5 million) in 2023, per the BBC.
Later, Shakira spoke out about the experience and said it drained her ‘energy, time, and tranquillity.’
Now, the ‘She Wolf’ singer has shared another worrying setback, telling fans she has been hospitalized due to an abdominal issue.

In an Instagram statement on February 16, Shakira said: “I am sorry to inform you all that last night I had to go to the ER for an abdominal issue and am currently hospitalized.”
She explained that the medical team caring for her determined she was not in the right condition to take the stage that evening.
“I am very sad not to be able to take the stage today. I’ve been looking forward to reuniting with my incredible fans here in Peru,” she continued.
Shakira added that she remains hopeful about her recovery and anticipates she will be ‘released and well tomorrow.’
Additionally, she reassured fans that her team was already working on rescheduling the concert.
“Thank you all for understanding, I love you all,” she concluded.
Shakira’s Latin American tour has included performances in various cities, such as Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo in Brazil. Other stops on her tour include Colombia, Chile, Argentina, and Mexico.
It will run until the end of June, celebrating her latest album and her return to the global stage.
