Simon Cowell has sparked concern among fans as ‘worrying’ footage of the star has emerged.

The former X Factor judge’s recent appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show has got everyone talking, after fans noticed a ‘worrying’ detail in a clip circulating on social media.

Before his sit-down interview with the host, the 65-year-old walked down the studio hallway while surrounded by crew members, who sang about the celebrity judge to the tune of The Greatest Showman.

It’s known on the show as the ‘Spirit Tunnel,’ and it’s an experience that most guests receive.

But fans pointed out something peculiar in the clips that have circulated from Cowell’s ‘Spirit Tunnel’ walk.

Cowell awkwardly clapped along to the musical hit, clapping his hands and smiling as he made his way down the corridor.

Once he reached the end of the hallway, he turned back to the crew and said: “Can I do that again?”

Many critics were left pondering his unique clap technique, which saw his hands fold in every time.

One questioned: “Is this his first time clapping? Why is he clapping like that?”

“What a unique clap,” another remarked.

A third commented: “He’s judged music for over a decade and somehow never found out how to clap on beat.”

“Why is he doing that with his hands?” somebody else asked.

Yet many took to the comments and pointed out that the music giant broke his back in an e-bike accident in 2020, and had to undergo a six-hour surgery.

Speaking with Extra in February 2021, Cowell said: “It could have been a lot worse.

“When I saw the X-ray, I really nearly smashed my spine to pieces, so I literally wouldn’t have been able to walk.”

He added: “I knew I’d broken my back the minute I landed.

“It was really, really kind of sudden and it hurt.”

In another interview with People, Cowell shared: “I’ve never been in this situation in my life where you literally can’t move.

“The pain was off the charts.

“But you’ve got to stay positive… I made a promise to myself I’d be fitter than I was before I had the accident. Sure enough, that’s what happened.”
