Singer Lola Young, 24, was carried off stage by a medical team after collapsing during a live performance in New York.

The 24-year-old ‘Messy’ singer was performing at the All Things Go Festival in New York when she suddenly dropped her microphone and collapsed backwards onto the stage.

The star looked visably uncomfortable during her performance of ‘Conceited’ from her second album, and fans were left concerned as a medical team rushed to carry her from the spotlight.

It’s now been announced that her next scheduled gig in Washington D.C. has been cancelled.

She also cancelled a performance the day before the incident, at New Jersey’s Prudential Center.

Taking to the stage to perform after her at the festival, rapper Doechii got the crowd to shout ‘we love you Lola’ in support.

She described her as ‘an incredibly talented artist.’

Earlier in her set, Young told the crowd she had ‘had a tricky couple of days’ due to a “sensitive matter”.

Soon after the sudden plunge backwards, she took to Instagram to inform fans that she was ‘okay.’

The 24-year-old wrote: “Hi, for anyone who saw my set at All Things Go today, I am doing okay now.

“Thank you for all of your support, Lola.”

But she followed the short statement up afterwards in an emotional announcement.

Young said: “I’m sorry to confirm that I won’t be playing all things go in DC today.

“I love this job and I never take my commitments and audience for granted so I’m sorry to those who will be disappointed by this.

“I hope you’ll all give me another chance in the future.”

She added: “Thank you to all those who listen and care.

“To all the people that love to be mean online, pls give me a day off.”

In the comments, fans wished her well.

One said: “My young niece was at your recent concert in NYC where you expressed that you’re struggling, but continued on, and then appeared to pass out.

“I pray people like you continue to use your influence to say – it is okay to not be okay, and you are NOT alone.”

Another added: “Lola words cannot express how proud of you we all are.

“You’re a realist and always keep things completely transparent which is why a lot of people can relate to you.”

She was nominated for the Rising Star Brit Award, in 2021 and Best Pop Act in 2025.
