The Walking Dead Star Has Died
The Walking Dead Star has tragically died aged 45.
After hearing the heartbreaking news, fans have taken to social media to pay tribute.
One person writes: “Sad news, but his memory will flower on in our hearts. RIP.”
“So sad, he worked so hard. Such a unique man, and looked forward to his next project in films. Rest in Peace,” another adds.
A third writes: “That man was supremely talented. For such a kind soul, he played the most menacing villain.”
“I’m so sorry to hear of his passing and for all of you who worked with him and loved him,” a fourth fan says.

Samuel French was an actor known for his roles in the Oscar-nominated Killers of the Flower Moon, where he played former cowboy Robinson, one of the agents involved in the 1920s in the FBI’s first major homicide case, the Osage murders.
French attended a casting call in his hometown of Waco, Texas, for the Oscar-nominated movie, where director Martin Scorsese spotted his talent.
During Killers of the Flower Moon, French performed a scene with Robert De Niro, where the director told him: “No one could have played Robinson as well as you did.”
The 45-year-old also starred in Fear the Walking Dead, Texas Rising, and as the titular private eye in Joe Haladin: The Case of the Missing Sister.

In 2024, French won the Best Supporting Actor at the Los Angeles Film Awards for his performance in Monsters Within.
French also won Best Actor at the Liverpool Indie Awards for his part in Blood Dried Hands.
The actor played his final role in the upcoming historical film Towpath, set in 1964 during the civil rights movement.
French played a detective in the upcoming movie, which was directed by his close friend Paul Sinacore.

After the actor’s passing, Sinacore told The Hollywood Reporter: “Samuel was a dear friend and an incredible actor, Towpath wouldn’t exist without him, and the incredible intensity he brought to the role of Det. Bernard Crooke set the tone for the entire film.
“Together, we were on an extraordinary journey, giving everything we had to realize a shared creative vision.
“Samuel carried a fire for acting that burned in every frame – unfiltered, fearless, and alive. He gave himself completely to the work, and it showed. I am deeply saddened by his loss and only wish he could have seen the final cut. He was one of a kind, and he will remain in our hearts forever.”

Sinacore told the publication that French died in his hometown of Waco after a long battle with cancer, which had spread throughout his body.
French is survived by his daughter, Madison, 12, his girlfriend, Melinda, his parents, Gary and Darlene, and his brothers, Andy and Danny.
