Treat Williams Has Died
Treat Williams has tragically died aged 71.
The three-time Golden Globe-nominated actor was best known for his roles in Hair and 1941.
Williams also starred in films such as Once Upon A Time In America, The Late Shift and 127 Hours.
Sadly, it has been confirmed by Williams’ agent that he has died following an accident.

Barry McPherson, the actor’s agent for 15 years, confirmed to People that Williams died on June 11 after being involved in a motorbike accident.
Explaining the incident to the outlet, he said: “He was killed this afternoon. He was making a left or a right [and] a car cut him off.
“I’m just devastated. He was the nicest guy. He was so talented.”
McPherson continues to pay tribute to his client: “He was an actor’s actor. Filmmakers loved him.
“He’s been the heart of Hollywood since the late 1970s.
“He was really proud of his performance this year. He’s been so happy with the work that I got him. He’s had a balanced career.”

People have paid tribute to the Deep Rising star on social media.
Jurrasic Park star Sam Neil pens: “Terribly sad to hear Treat Williams died today, on the road.
“Treat was about the nicest, most likeable guy you could imagine. How awful this is.”
Meanwhile, Billy Baldwin described Williams as someone who ‘had it all’ and called him ‘smart’, ‘talented’ and ‘compassionate’.
Another person adds: “Treat’s passing is a great loss to the acting community. Our prayers are with his loved ones.”
Jacob Gribble, the fire chief for Dorset, Vermont, told People that the crash happened on Monday at around 5pm on Route 30 by Long Trail Auto near Dorset, Vermont.
According to Griblle, Williams’ motorcycle was involved in a single-car accident – which investigators believe that the driver of the car was turning and didn’t see him on his motorcycle.
Gribble adds that the Prince of the City actor was the only person hurt and a helicopter was called in to airlift him to a hospital in New York.
In a press release put out by Vermont State Police, they confirm that the investigation into Williams’ death is in its early stages and team members will return to the location of the collision to continue analysing the scene in order to get more information.

Williams had an almost 50-year career in the industry, with his first acting credit dating back to 1975 when he appeared in the thriller Deadly Hero.
One of his more recent roles that garnered critical praise was his leading role Dr Andy Brown in the TV series Everwood.
He starred in all four seasons of the show and bagged himself a SAG Award nomination for outstanding performance by a male actor in a drama series in 2003-04.
He has more than 120 acting credits to his name including roles in Heart of Dixie, Blue Bloods, and A Street Car Named Desire.
Williams is survived by his wife, actress Pam Van Sant and their two children Gille and Ellie.
