‘Game-Changing’ £1.69 Chicken Nuggets Rival McDonald’s

McDonald’s nuggets are under threat as Lidl has dropped a ‘game-changing’ £1.69 box of 12 that fans can’t get enough of.

Lidl’s 12 chicken nugget box had been added to many people’s shopping list after a snap was shared onto Facebook group Snack News and Reviews, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Similar to the fast-food chain’s branding, Lidl chicken nuggets are packaged alongside a curry and sweet and sour dip.

So far, the post has attracted over 20,000 comments and 8,200 shares, with foodies saying this could give McDonald’s a run for its money.

One person tagged a friend in the post and wrote: “Saturday night game-changer. When we decided we need more food.”

Another gushed: “I buy these we love them.”

While a third said: “I’ve has these before and they are yummy.”

Meanwhile, a Lidl employee commented: “As a staff member, I can say they do sell pretty fast.”

However, others haven’t been too impressed by the new food launch, with one Facebook user replying to the post: “Don’t bother they are horrible.”

Another sceptic person pitched in, adding: “Haven’t had them but I expect they are full of anything but chicken. Read the ingredients chicken is minimum.”

During lockdown, Lidl stores have remained opened and people can continue to shop for essentials, including food and medicine.
