Chris Evans is ‘calling for gun control’ after the Texas primary school mass shooting that reportedly took the lives of 21 people.

He simply tweeted: “F***ING ENOUGH!!!!”

This isn’t the first time that Evans has addressed his interest in gun control, having previously written about the issue in 2018.

At the time, he took to Twitter and referenced another shooting, penning: “The young people of this generation give me so much hope.

“Are you listening @GOP? Time for gun laws to change. And for you 2A-ers, relax, no one is saying you can’t own a gun, your right to ‘bear arms shall not be infringed’. Just looking for common-sense reform! #NationalWalkoutDay.”

The 40-year-old isn’t the only star that has spoken out about the current Uvalde shooting.

Matthew McConaughey, who is actually from the town, tweeted that the Texas tragedy is a part of an ‘epidemic we can control’.

In a statement, the fellow actor wrote: “As Americans, Texans, mothers and fathers, it’s time we re-evaluate, and renegotiate our wants from our needs. We have to rearrange our values and find a common ground above this devastating American reality that has tragically become our children’s issue.

“This is an epidemic we can control, and whichever side of the aisle we may stand on, we all know we can do better. We must do better. Action must be taken so that no parent has to experience what the parents in Uvalde and the others before them have endured.”

He added: “And to those who dropped off their loved ones today not knowing it was goodbye, no words can comprehend or heal your loss, but if prayers can provide comfort, we will keep them coming.”
