Chrissy Teigen has been slammed for throwing a Squid Game party for all of her ‘rich friends’.

The 35-year-old recently took to Instagram and shared a string of snaps of her guests dressed up as characters from the Netflix hit.

She captioned the post: “Where do I even begin!! What an absolutely epic night. My dream came true of watching my friends fight to the death! Dunk tank, musical chairs, hide and seek followed by a very riveting final game of pin the tail on the donkey.”

However, many people slammed the star and argued she was acting ‘tone-deaf,’ as she ‘failed to understand’ the meaning behind the South Korean series.

On the post, one person wrote: “This is so beyond ‘tone-deaf,’ as a millionaire to invite your rich friends over and react Squid Games, which is rooted in the violence of capitalism.”

Another added: “Rich people dressing up as characters from Squid Game… Way to miss the point of the show. Super tone-deaf.”

“Why do rich people always miss the whole entire point?” a third questioned.

A fourth person commented: “I… think you missed the point of the show.”

However, others defended Teigen and agreed that it looked like an ‘epic’ party.

One fan said: “This is the best party I’ve ever seen.”

Joining in, a second added: “Epic is an understatement.”

For the Squid Game party, Teigen decided to dress up as the ‘Red Light, Green Light’ doll, while her husband, singer John Legend, came as a VIP member, wearing a robe and animal mask.
