There has been a twist in the death of Christina Ashten Gourkani.
Gourkani, 34, was an OFs model who is known for her resemblance to reality TV star Kim Kardashian.
The influencer, who was known as Ashten G online, had a staggering social media following, with more than 625,000 Instagram followers.
Tragically, Gourkani’s family has revealed some new information surrounding her shock passing.

Gourkani died in a California hospital following complications during a plastic surgery procedure, reports MailOnline.
Her family has reportedly launched an investigation into her sudden death and wants answers as to why the operation resulted in tragedy.
Gourkani underwent several cosmetic surgeries during her short life, and all of them carried risks that she was said to be well aware of.
However, her family is now seeking answers as to why this particular operation ended in a cardiac arrest.

In a statement, Gourkani’s family says: “Her sudden and tragic passing is currently being investigated… related to a medical procedure that took a turn for the worse.”
Cardiac arrest occurs when the heart suddenly stops pumping blood around the body due to a problem with electrical signals in the organ.
This leads to the brain being starved of oxygen, resulting in sufferers losing consciousness and not being able to breathe.
Gourkani’s family has started a GoFundMe page to raise funds for her funeral, which is scheduled to take place next week.
As of Thursday morning, the fundraiser has raised $4,281 of its $40,000 goal.
The GoFundMe also includes a lengthy statement expressing the family’s shock and anguish, as well as a brief account of the moments leading up to Gourkani’s death.
It reads: “It is with deep sorrow and an immensely heavy, broken heart that we have to share the most shattering, unfortunate and unexpected passing of our beautiful, beloved daughter and sister Christina Ashten Gourkani.”
Elsewhere in the description, it heartbreakingly says that her family received a phone call at half four in the morning of April 20, in which a family member screams ‘Ashten is dying… Ashten is dying’ – which is something they say will ‘haunt’ them for the rest of their lives.

Gourkani is described as ‘a caring and loving free spirit’ who always took the time ‘to bring a smile to anyone’s face she crossed paths with’.
Many of Gourkani’s followers have taken to social media and paid tribute.
One fan writes: “RIP Christina Ashten Gourkani, you will be missed.”
Another adds: “RIP. Praying for your family and friends, my sincere condolences.”
While a third person writes: “Tragic in so many ways.”
