Conor McGregor Buys Pub Where He Punched Man, 50, And Bars Him

Conor McGregor has bought the pub where he punched a 50-year-old man in 2019 and barred him.

The UFC fighter, who recently came under for telling his son, 2, to punch another kid, has forked out almost £2million for the venue, according to reports.

Confirming the news on Twitter, he shared an article about the purchase of the Marble Arch and captioned it: “Ye and your mans barred.”

It is the second pub he has bought in the area after he snapped up The Black Forge last year.

His supporters took to the comments to congratulate him and call him a ‘legend’ for being so ‘cheeky’.

One person wrote: “Suppose you’ve got to admire the cheekiness of it. You’re just not assed are yeh?”

However, not everybody was impressed with the news and some labelled him ‘cringe’.

One person wrote: “Oh my god he gets even more cringe as he goes on!!

“It’s like taking your ball and going home to mum!

The man didn’t want a drink, and that hurts his pride this much?”

Another added: “Laughingly embarrassing behaviour.”

McGregor was fined £860 by the Dublin District Court after he admitted to assaulting 50-year-old Des Keogh after he refused a shot of whiskey.

The 32-year-old later apologised and admitted he was ‘in the wrong’.

He told ESPN: “It doesn’t matter what happened there – I was in the wrong.

“That man deserved to enjoy his time in the pub without having it end the way it did.”

It wasn’t the first time McGregor has found himself in trouble with the law.

In 2017, he pleaded guilty to exceeding the speed limit in Rathcoole, County Dublin, and was fined €400.

A year later he pleaded guilty to speeding again and was fined €1000 and disqualified from driving for six months.

In 2019 he was arrested outside of the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida, after an altercation with another fighter.

He was charged with strong-armed robber and criminal mischief.
