Conor McGregor has lashed out at Jake Paul on Twitter and branded him a ‘flop’ and a ‘nobody’.

The UFC star took to social media after watching the outspoken personality speak to journalist Ariel Helwani on his show, The MMA Hour.

Paul said: “I think for me, fighting a couple more times, continuing to knock some people out, and he has to get active again, who knows when that’s gonna happen?

“I think those two things need to happen, and then at some point, it’s gotta happen.”

He added: “You know, why not? He’s a businessman, I’m a businessman, and that’s $75 to $100 million for both of us.”

McGregor hit back, saying: “You’ve [had] 2 fights and done 70k buys.”

He added: “You are a flop, kid. A nobody.”

This is not the first time the younger Paul brother has called out McGregor for a fight, as back in May he promised to knock out the Irish superstar.

Ever since he ventured into boxing back in 2018, the YouTuber has always had his eyes on a potential fight with the 33-year-old cage fighter.

Yet McGregor has never really paid much attention to him and has only addressed him sporadically, such as calling him a ‘confused little kid’ in an interview with BT Sport.

The former Featherweight and Lightweight Champion has not fought in the UFC since last July when he suffered a broken leg in his third fight against long-time rival Dustin Poirier.

McGregor has recently returned to training and he hopes for a comeback fight either at the end of this year or the start of 2023.

Meanwhile, Paul is set to fight at Madison Square Garden against Hasim Rahman Jr, the son of former two-time Heavyweight Champion Hasim Rahman, in August.

He was originally set to face off against Tommy Fury, however, the fight got called off after the former Love Island star got denied entry into America.
