Converse has dropped trainers that change colour when they’re in the sun.
The shoe company has collaborated with US-based Chinatown Market to create the unusual trainers, that switch from off-white to rainbow.
Discussing the new launch, Chinatown Market founder and designer Mike Cherman told Sneaker News: “It makes the shoe more than just a shoe. It’s a conversation piece, something that’s unique to the wearer.
“These hues change in their own way, and some colours will last longer while others will last for a shorter time period.
“It’s the beauty of the shoes: how unique they are.
He continued: “It changes with you. You go to a music festival, the shoes are all bright and crazy in the sunlight, and the moment you step inside a tent, they go back to their pastel base and different. That’s what’s so fun.”
Two new styles will be released as a part of the collection. The Chuck Hi 70 model will retail for £81 and the Chuck 70s at £77.
The range will be launching this Saturday through the Chinatown Market website.
