Cristiano Ronaldo’s son, 10, has been spotted wearing a designer watch worth a whopping £371,000 in a resurfaced photograph.
The snap, which was taken at the Global Soccer Awards last year, shows Cristiano Jr. Ronaldo, rocking a Rolex GMT-Master II Full Factory Baguette.
Although fans are aware that Ronaldo is immensely wealthy, many have criticised the footballer’s parenting skills and have argued it’s ridiculous to give a child something so expensive.
Watch moment Ronaldo’s son met Messi in the clip below…
One person commented: “My kids are gonna have the cheap $5 ones until they know how to be responsible.”
Pitching in, a second remarked: “Good to see he isn’t being spoiled.”
“He was born into wealth and will no doubt be a spoiled brat,” a third said.
However, other parents have defended him and argued that he’s doing what any other rich parent would do.
One person wrote: “So what? His father has made his money honestly so he can buy whatever his family wants. Well done!”
A second wrote: “He’s his son, he can give him whatever the heck he wants.”
During the event, Ronaldo expressed hope that his eldest son would follow in his footsteps and also become a footballer.
“My son has potential,” he said. “We’ll see if he will become a great footballer.”
However, he also admitted it ‘irritates’ him when he sees him eating ‘chips and fries’.
He added: “Sometimes he drinks Coke and eats crisp and it irritates me. I just want him to be the best in whatever he chooses to do. I always tell him, hard work is important.”
He continued: “I fight with him when he eats chips and fries and everything – I don’t like it.
“Even my younger kids, I have four and want what is best for them but when they eat chocolate they always look at me and as a parent I have to be strong.”
