Dec Donnelly has paid tribute to Ant McPartlin with the name of his newborn son.
The TV presenter and his wife, Ali Astall, welcomed their second child on July 23 and named him Jack Anthony Alphonsus.
Donnelly took to Instagram and confirmed the exciting news by sharing a photo of the infant’s hand, alongside the caption: “Shortly before 10am yesterday, 23.7.2022, Ali and I welcomed the arrival of our son, Jack Anthony Alphonsus, a very welcome ray of light. He is wonderful and Isla is beyond excited to be a big sister! D x.”

The post has accumulated nearly 400,000 likes and hundreds have taken to the comments and sent their congratulations.
One said: “His middle name after Ant.”
Alongside a ton of weeping emojis, another added: “Second name Anthony.”
“Oh my God,” a third gushed. “Anthony as a middle name!”
“Anthony? How effing cute,” added another.
The news comes after the dad of two was left heartbroken when his brother, Catholic priest Father Dermott Donnelly, tragically passed away earlier this month, aged 55.

At the time, the BGT host rushed to his sibling’s side after he reportedly fell seriously ill.
Following Father Donnelly’s passing, Dec tweeted: “I am heartbroken to tell you that my darling brother Fr Dermott, sadly passed away this afternoon. We are all beyond devastated. Thank you for your messages of sympathy and support, they are appreciated.”
Hundreds took to the comments section and paid tribute, with one writing: “So, so sorry. Sending you all the love.”
A second penned: “A fantastic man and an outstanding priest. Will be sadly missed.”
