A woman on TikTok has gone viral as she claimed a birthday gift from her family was ruined by a tattoo artist who allegedly ‘did whatever the heck he wanted’.

In the video, she explained how she wanted a delicate leaf tattoo and showed the viewers the designs that she had sent over to the artist.

She claimed: “When I got there, he took two and a half hours to set up. I don’t know what the heck he was doing. He did not spend the whole time drawing up a tattoo because he ended up ‘freehanding’ the tattoo.

“And this is where I should have seen the red flags. I saw the red flags but I didn’t say anything. All of the other tattoos that I have were stencils because they are linework, not shading.

“But he kept telling me ‘trust the process’ and he’s a professional so why wouldn’t I believe him? I have never gotten like a big tattoo before, so I thought this was how it worked.”

The woman claimed that she then noticed that some ‘elements were quite large,’ but that the tattoo artist went on to reassure her.

Describing the end result, she alleged: “Very dark. I asked for no shading and he shaded a lot. And he did tell me, ‘Oh, I’m just going to shade a little because I’m worried that you won’t be able to tell what it is’.

“I was like, ‘Okay, very minimal shading, I’m okay with that’. But this isn’t minimal at all.”

After watching the video, many people took to the comments and were supportive.

One user wrote: “I saw your vision and he absolutely did not! I’m so sorry.”

Another person posted: “Oh my God, my jaw dropped, so sorry this happened to you.”

One user shared a similar experience by writing: “SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME. ‘I’m an artist don’t disrupt my work,’ like bro this is MY BODY?!”

Staesha ended the video by revealing what the tattoo looks like now, as she is currently in the process of getting it lasered off.
