Destinee LaShaee, who was the first-ever transgender star of My 600-Ib Life, has died, aged 30.

The reality star’s death was confirmed by their brother, Wayne Compton, on February 8, through a Facebook post.

Alongside a series of photos, he penned: “No no no I’m sorry bro, I accept you for who you are, I accept every flaw that comes with you, I’m sorry you felt alone, I’m sorry you felt you had nobody else to turn too, I’m sorry you felt you had no other option Destiny wouldn’t have wanted this, lord why keep taking my siblings away, how much can I take.”

One person wrote: “I’m so sorry, I’m praying for you and your family.”

“Keep your head up brother,” added another. “You gotta be strong.”

The saddening news reportedly comes after the one-year anniversary of their other sibling’s death, who was also called Destiny.

LaShaee, who was born Matthew Ventress and is believed to have spent recent years living as both Destinee and Matthew, appeared on the seventh season of the hit TLC show.

At the time, they weighed just under 700Ib but following the programme, they lost over 500Ibs.

After finding fame, LaShaee became very open about their mental health struggles and revealed they ‘constantly’ felt they were trying to escape ‘depression’ and ‘pain’.

On the show, they once said: “I feel like all I’m constantly doing is trying to escape my depression and pain at this point.

“Food is the only thing I can turn to do that. I can feel it killing me. There is no way I’m going to survive for much longer.”
