Disaronno’s new velvet cream liqueur has landed in the UK and it looks like the most tempting drink to have whilst sitting in your back garden during the hot weather we’re having.
The iconic brand Disaronno has announced the launch of Disaronno Velvet, which is apparently both deliciously sweet and nutty, making it ideal for those who enjoy a cream liqueur that has an intense aroma.
Astonishingly, this marks Disaronno’s first new line release in over 500 years and according to those that have tried it, it’s going to give Baileys some competition thanks to its “incredibly smooth” texture and divine range of flavour notes.
According to the makers, the liqueur has notes of apricot, almond and vanilla. Ideally, it should be served over ice or within a cream cocktail – as this will really bring out the drinks smooth texture.
Neil Jardine, managing director of Disaronno International UK, said: “The unique tasting experience enjoyed over ice means consumers across the UK can enjoy a completely new product with the distinctive taste of Disaronno, even during this enforced period at home.
“The launch is incredibly exciting for us and we have big ambitions for the brand in the UK, and entering a new category with the launch of Velvet is only the start.”
Similar to the original Disaronno bottle, the Velvet has the same shape bottle yet in a classic all-white bottle, which looks just as luxurious as the creamy liqueur that you’ll taste inside. As well as looking stylish sitting on your at-home bar shelf, it would also make the perfect gift for someone who loves to sit back and unwind with a beverage.
From the end of May, the 17% ABV Disaronno Velvet will be available at major retailers across the UK at the retail price of £15 per 50cl bottle.
