Johnny Depp fans are slamming Disneyland Paris after Captain Jack Sparrow’s face appeared in the theme park’s light display.

It all started when a Twitter user, known only as Elisa, posted footage on the site, writing: “Captain Jack Sparrow shining on the Disneyland Paris castle.”

After seeing the clip, outraged viewers said Depp deserved an ‘apology’ over how he had been treated by the company when it came to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

“Where’s the apology Disney?” questioned one.

In agreement, another added: “Yeah so @disney, care to apologise to Johnny Depp?”

A third fumed: “One question: Can Disney use the image of Johnny Depp? You kicked him out and still, you keep exploiting his image? I mean…”

To which, another fan replied: “They’ll never apologise. Give the rights to the Pirates movies to JD. He is Captain Jack Sparrow and makes the Pirates movies what they are. Without JD the movies are s***.

“Disney doesn’t deserve to own so much of his talent. I’d never blame JD if he never works for Disney again.”

Petition For Johnny Depp To Return To ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean 6’ Reaches 550,000 Signatures

Disneyland Paris’ move comes after the 58-year-old ruled out ever playing the character again.

The actor made the admission when testifying during his defamation case against his ex-wife, actress Amber Heard.

When her attorney, Ben Rottenborn, questioned him, he asked: “The fact is, Mr Depp, if Disney came to you with $300million and a million alpacas, nothing on this earth would get you to go back and work with Disney on a Pirates of the Caribbean film? Correct?”

The actor simply responded: “That is true, Mr Rottenborn.”
