Donald Trump has accused Meghan Markle of ‘using’ Prince Harry and being ‘disrespectful’ to the Queen.

Speaking to Nigel Farage for GB News, the 75-year-old also claimed the former actress, who recently made a surprise appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, has ‘ruined’ his relationship with his family.

He said: “I’m not a fan of hers. I wasn’t from day one. I think Harry has been used horribly and I think someday he will regret it.

“I think it’s ruined his relationship with his family, and it hurts the Queen.”

Speaking about the Duchess of Sussex’s letter to US politicians seeking paid parental leave for all, Trump added: “She is trying to do things that I think are very inappropriate.”

Markle recently defended her letter, telling The New York Times: “I don’t see this as a political issue, frankly.

“Look, there’s certainly a precedent amongst my husband’s family and the royal family of not having any involvement in politics, but paid leave, from my standpoint, is a humanitarian issue.

“My husband has always said, ‘With great privilege comes great responsibility,’ but even before I had any sort of privilege in my life, when my life and my lifestyle were very different, I always just stood up for what’s right.”

It’s not the first time Trump has spoken about Markle. In 2019, he told The Sun: “I didn’t know that [Meghan] was nasty.”

When the couple first left Britain, he also tweeted: “I am a great friend and admirer of the Queen & the United Kingdom.

“It was reported that Harry and Meghan, who left the Kingdom, would reside permanently in Canada.

“Now they have left Canada for the US however, the US will not pay for their security protection. They must pay!”
