He said: “I want people to know that not only has it been life-changing for me, I do believe it is life-saving and it’s the case for so many people.”

He went on to explain how doing things like wearing a T-shirt and having a towel around his waist after showering made him feel ‘comfortable in my body for probably the first time’.

“It is such a freeing, freeing experience,” he added. “This is incredibly new. I feel like I haven’t gotten to be myself since I was 10 years old.”

Elsewhere in the chat, Page opened up about how he had a ‘panic attack and collapsed’ after wearing a dress to the Inception premiere.

The actor explained how he ‘lost it’ when his manager presented him with three dresses in the hotel room.

Recalling the incident, he said: “And I just like, I lost it. I got so… It was like a cinematic moment. The kind of thing that would be in a movie.

“And that night after the premiere and at the afterparty, I collapsed. And that was something that’s happened frequently in my life, usually corresponding with a panic attack.”
