Elon Musk has claimed that he got randomly ‘drug tested’ after appearing on Joe Rogan’s podcast.

The Tesla CEO was on the popular audio show back in 2018 and the episode went viral after he ‘smoked weed’ with the host. However, it caused him a lot of backlash at the time.

Opening up about what happened on the Nelk Boys and John Shahidi podcast, he said: “I did get a lot of backlash because it’s still federally illegal.

“Space X has federal government contracts, so our competitors were like, ”Why aren’t you doing anything, look at him brazenly smoking weed on Joe Rogan’s podcast’. They drug tested me for everything.”

Musk claims this pressure is what forced the government to test him and gather urine samples from the 51-year-old.

Elon Musk Reportedly ‘Fathered Twins With Executive’

His appearance on Rogan’s podcast broke records by making it the most viewed episode of the show on YouTube with 56million people watching it.

Since then, he has appeared on the show two more times.

In the latest episode, Musk revealed his ‘ambitious’ plans to take SpaceX to Mars in the near future.

However, he currently has bigger worries on his mind, as ‘The World’s Richest Man’ is currently in an ongoing court battle with Twitter after he backed out of a huge deal to buy the company.

Musk broke the internet earlier this year when he announced his plans to purchase the social media platform.

In a filing document to the Securities and Exchange Commission, he explained: “I invested in Twitter as I believe in its potential to be the platform for free speech around the globe, and I believe free speech is a societal imperative for a functioning democracy.”

However, in July, he withdrew his bid which led to Twitter suing him.
