Elon Musk has explained why he no longer ‘votes for Democrats’ and has switched his political allegiance.
The SpaceX founder has taken aim at Joe Biden’s party over on Twitter, which he is believed to have recently purchased.
He tweeted: “In the past, I voted Democrat because they were (mostly) the kindness party.

“But they have become the party of division and hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican.”
The 50-year-old went on to add: “Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold.”
Later on, Musk tweeted: “Judging by the relentless hatestream from the far left, this tweet was spot on.”
After seeing the billionaire’s tweets, many have taken to the comments and blasted him for getting political on the platform he’s meant to have bought.
One wrote: “Remember when I said that giving one-man total control of a global communications platform might not be great for democracy?
“Well, that man just explicitly expressed his political bias.”
“Elon, you’re better than this,” said a second. “What about most of us in the middle?
A third fumed: “That’s it, that seals the deal. I’m no longer a Twitter user. I’ve been a user since 2012 and have never been more disgusted. I officially will be deactivating my account. I’m going to Instagram where they know how to run a platform.”
Pitching in, a fourth remarked: “Elon so many people genuinely love you and you have supporters on both sides. Please just stay clear of politics and do the good work you’ve been doing.”
