Emily Ratajkowski says she’s past dating men who can’t handle a strong woman.

The Gone Girl actress, 31, has had plenty to say about relationships and men in the aftermath of her recent split from Sebastian Bear-McClard, 41.

Most recently, she was rumoured to be dating Kim Kardashian’s ex, comedian Pete Davidson, 29, but the pair have apparently split and moved into the ‘friends zone’.

Now Ratajkowski has revealed that after dating around, she’s come to the conclusion she doesn’t really ‘need a man’.

Here’s everything you need to know about Emily Ratajkowski’s ongoing divorce from Sebastian Bear-McClard…

Talking to fellow model Olivia Ponton on her High Low with EmRata podcast, the ‘Blurred Lines’ model said: “I have always felt like I’m a strong woman, but obviously as you get older, you really don’t need a man.”

She went on to explain that men have told her previously that they desire a strong woman, but don’t actually know how to ‘handle it’.

Ratajkowski said: “Men have said, ‘I like independent women. I want somebody who doesn’t need me’.

I feel like a lot of men who truly think they want a strong woman actually don’t know how to handle it and they don’t know what it means for their own identity.

“The strength and the power is associated with the masculine, and once a woman has that, a man doesn’t know what else he has.”

She added: “But I’m like, ‘How about you just be better at expressing your emotions and being there emotionally? That would be great’.”

To be fair, Ratajkowski’s battle with male attitudes and emotions might not cause her many problems going forward, as she’s also discussed what it would be like to have a female partner instead.

After seemingly coming out as bisexual in October, Ratajkowski said she can ‘understand dating women’ because there would always be a ‘mutual respect’ in that kind of relationship.

She explained: “There might be competition, but it doesn’t feel like somebody’s taking something away from someone else.

“I’m like, OK, I did it, wow. What I hate with dating men, in particular, is I feel like they’re like, ‘OK, yes. You’re special. You’ve done it’.

“They love it, then slowly they get emasculated, and they don’t know what to do with those feelings.

“And then they resent you and then they start to tear you down. And then you’re just back to square one.”

Ratajkowski has also discussed her s**uality in a recent interview with Harper Bazaar.

In a chat with the publication, the 31-year-old said she doesn’t ‘believe in straight people’.

Ratajkowski explained: “I think s**uality is on a sliding scale. I don’t really believe in straight people.

“My girlfriend came over and was like, ‘B****, have you seen the green-couch thing?’. She was laughing at me because my green couch is so big.”

She added: “I want to be able to have fun with how I present myself in the world without feeling like I’m a bad feminist or a good feminist.

“Duh. I don’t want to be a part of your club if you don’t want to have me. It’s fine!”
