Everyone will have a different opinion when it comes to which rappers are the ‘greatest of all time’ – but when Eminem himself jumps in, you better pay attention.
The ‘Mockingbird’ rapper, 50, is a rapper, songwriter and record producer who is credited with popularising hip hop in middle America.
For many, he is considered one of the greatest rappers of all time – but Eminem himself has his own list of who is the best of the best.
YouTuber No Life Shaq stirred up the conversation by asking 30 rappers the big question: “Who is the greatest rapper of all time?”
And before long, the replies started pouring in.

Naturally, the one that caught everyone’s eye was none other than Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, dropping his verdict on the matter.
The rap icon listed a bunch of legendary names, including Lil Wayne, Tupac, Royce da 5’9″, Jay-Z, Redman, Treach, Kool G Rap, Biggie Smalls and Crooked I.
After deliberating further, he then added LL Cool J, Lil Nas X, Joyner Lucas, Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, André 3000, Rakim and Big Daddy Kane to his list.
Now, that’s some lineup.
For me, in no particular order… Toss up between wayne, pac, royce, jay, redman, treach, g. rap, biggie & king crook….

But here’s the thing – Em made it clear that the list was in ‘no particular order’, leaving us all scratching our heads over who he considers the ultimate GOAT.
One rapper who made it to both Em’s and No Life Shaq’s lists is Redman.
Maybe that’s a hint, or maybe it’s just a happy coincidence, but what surprised everyone was that Eminem didn’t include himself in his own list.
Many fans quickly replied to the humble rapper to insist he adds his own name to the debate.
One person wrote: “You gotta include yo self in there!!!”
Another added: “For me, in no particular order… toss up between Eminem, Marshall Mathers, B Rabbit, Slim Shady or that white guy from D12.”
