Emma Watson says everyone wanted to be on-set for her ‘incest’ Harry Potter moment.

Watson is an English actress best known for her role as Hermoine Granger in the hugely popular Harry Potter movies.

She’s since starred in films such as Little Women, Beauty and the Beast, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

After filming the final Harry Potter movie, Watson opened up about her time on set and revealed she had to do ‘the most horrible thing.’

Watson starred alongside Daniel Radcliffe (who played Harry Potter) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) in the film series and over the years, the trio formed a close bond.

During the Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts special, the actress spoke with Grint about becoming famous at a young age.

In an emotional moment between the pair, Grint said the movies would always connect him to Watson.

He said: “We’re family, we always will be. It’s a strong bond, we’ll always be part of each other’s lives.”

After the two hugged, Grint told Watson: “I love you,” before adding ‘as friends,’ which made them both laugh.

Later, in an interview with Vogue magazine, Watson reflected on this moment with Grint.

The actress told the publication: “When Rupert says things, he really means them. I was taken aback by how vulnerable and kind he was deciding to be so publicly.”

She added that it was the ‘most emotional’ part of the reunion special’s filming.

While the pair may be close, Watson has acknowledged the one scene she found incredibly awkward to film with Grint.

In the final movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Watson’s character shares a passionate kiss with Weasley.

Although this was a long time coming, with the books having revealed what happened, it was still awkward for the pair, who’d worked together since children.

Back in 2012, the actress told Jonathon Ross: “We did the kiss two weeks ago, and it was the most horrible thing I’ve ever had to do.

“Not because Rupert isn’t lovely, and there are millions of girls out there who would probably chop their left arm off to kiss him, but it just felt like incest. That’s the only way I can describe it.

“The great thing about kissing is that you close your eyes, so it was fine when I was actually kissing him because I had my eyes closed. So I could not think about the fact that it was him.

“The worst bit is when we had to open our eyes and look at each other because then it was just like, and then we couldn’t keep going.”

Watson and Grint also reflected on their kiss during the Harry Potter special.

Watson said: “Obviously us kissing was the most horrifying thing either of us have ever had to go through.”

She added that it ‘felt wrong’ as Grint and Radcliffe were ‘so much like siblings’ to her.

Radcliffe said: “I did not make this better, because I’ve been told significantly that I was just being an absolute d*** about this and was like, ‘I’m gonna come on set and watch you guys kiss.’ I’m sorry about that, guys.”

Watson weighed in: “Everyone wanted to be on set for it. Cause everyone was like, ‘This is gonna be good, guys.'”
