An ex-vegan reveals she now eats raw animal organs as part of her diet, after previously avoiding any meat products.
Erica Dobeck took to TikTok, under her username @EricaEatsOrgans, to give users an insight into her unusual diet.
In one clip, she explains that going vegan began to take a toll on her health.
She said: “So about two years ago I was a vegan and at first, it was really beneficial for me, I loved how it made me feel, I felt full of life, energised and my skin was glowing and radiant.
“Then I got really bad cystic acne, and I went to the dermatologist. She looked at my nails.”
She claims the doctor told her that her nails showed her ‘she was really deficient in zinc,’ and ‘needed to start eating some animal products’.
After this, Dobeck watched YouTube videos and came across some that advised eating raw organs was beneficial.
The young woman told her followers she views the organs as ‘supplements,’ and also posts videos where she cooks the meat before eating it.
Dobeck said: “I still eat normal food just like the rest of you, I just eat organs instead of taking supplements, that’s how I view it.”
She claims she eats a portion of raw meat about the size of her palm every day.

It seems like Dobeck isn’t the only fan of a raw meat diet, with some followers sharing their recommendations on how best to consume it.
One user commented: “I’ve found raw meat is way easier to stomach with a drop of Maldon salt flakes and some sesame oil.”
Another added: “Where I’m from, raw liver is a breakfast delicacy.”
