Cocaine Bear is directed by Hunger Games star Elizabeth Banks and features an all-star cast.
This includes Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family), O’Shea Jackson Jr (Straight Outta Compton), Margo Martindale (The Watcher) and Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story).
Ray Liotta (Goodfellas) is also in the film as the drug smuggler who loses his supply to the bear.
This is one of the final roles he shot before tragically died earlier this year.

Since the trailer dropped, fans have been reacting to it online and expressing their excitement for the upcoming film.
Someone else commented: “This will be the movie of the year no contest.”
Another viewer compared the movie to Al Pacino’s character in Scarface, as they said: “Damn bear went full Tony Montana.”
“Cocaine Bear will sweep the Oscars,” remarked another user.
Someone else seemingly agreed by adding: “I’m fully prepared for a Cocaine Bear Oscars sweep.”
“Stop lying, Cocaine Bear looks like an Oscar Best Picture contender,” acknowledged one person.
Deadline has described the plot of Cocaine Bear: “The story involves an oddball group of cops, criminals, tourists and teens converging in a Georgia forest where a 500-pound apex predator has ingested a staggering amount of cocaine and gone on a rampage for more blow…and blood.”
While the trailer shows the bear going on a murderous rampage, this was not the case in real life, as it died almost immediately.
In December 1985, $20 million dollars worth of cocaine was dropped out of a plane by drug smuggler Andrew Thornton due to the vehicle carrying a heavy load.
The packages were found three months later ripped up in Georgia’s Chattahoochee–Oconee National Forest.
Nearby, they discovered a dead bear who had seemingly helped himself to the drug.
The Associated Press reported that the bear died of a ‘multimillion-dollar high’.
Authorities told the AP: “The bear got to it before we could, and he tore the duffel bag open, got him some cocaine and OD’d (overdosed).”

As reported by The Guardian, the medical examiner who performed the autopsy admitted that ‘there isn’t a mammal on the planet who could survive that.’
When explaining its cause of death, they said: “You name it, that bear had it.”
The bear is now stuffed and can be found at the Kentucky For Kentucky store in Lexington, which surprisingly, is located in Kentucky.
Cocaine Bear will be released in cinemas on February 24, 2023.
