Netflix users are binge-watching a ‘hidden gem series’ with a near-perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The streaming platform is renowned for its in-house content, with viewers continuously praising its original films and TV shows.

Now, viewers say one of the ‘best shows’ they’ve ever watched has slipped under people’s radars.

This original series has earned high praise from fans, with one person writing: “Wow this is the best show I’ve seen in a very long time and I’m a Netflix junkie. It’s such an emotional rollercoaster, with so many twists you never know what’s going to happen.”

“Easily one of the best shows I’ve ever watched,” a second user responds.

Somebody else comments: “Honestly this is one of my favorite pieces of media I’ve seen/experienced/consumed in recent memory. I frankly can’t think of anything that has moved me emotionally the way this show did.”

“This series has been sitting there on my Netflix for months and I finally just broke down and watched it and it’s really one of the most incredible fleets in film I’ve seen in a very long time,” a fourth says.

Critics are raving about the comedy-drama series too.

Cristina Escobar for Latina Media wrote: “The show is perfect. Pretty bold to say, I know, but in the world of prestige media, I challenge you to find something better.”

“A brilliant tale of morality and mortality that finds an expert balance between sincerity, cutting comedy, and wild genre flourish,” Collider‘s Haleigh Foutch reviewed.

Alicia Lutes typed for IGN Movies: “This is Netflix at its best… the series is a heady, addictive binge that avoids the bloat of other streaming shows and delights with its many subversions of tropes and expectations.”

The series has also achieved impressive scores on Rotten Tomatoes, earning a seriously impressive 97%.

Orange Is the New Black star and Emmy-nominated actress Natasha Lyonne stars in this comedy-drama series as Nadia, she also co-created the series alongside Leslye Headland and Amy Poehler.

The ‘hidden gem’ series also stars Chloë Sevigny, Charlie Barnett, Greta Lee, and Annie Murphy.

Created for Netflix, the show aired with eight episodes before releasing a seven-episode second season.

Russian Doll has gripped viewers with its themes of mental health and drug addiction. But despite its dark themes, it remains a witty comedy series highlighting the importance and need for human connection.

The show hasn’t been renewed for a third at the time of writing. However, Lyonne told The Hollywood Reporter: “I think that there’s potentially more than that in the future. But I think it’s gonna take some time. I think that like, you know, it’s just like a crazy time in this business.”
